If you’re anything like me, good movies pass you by each year. I am busy with family life and I don’t like to waste time on bad movies. Here are a few I’ve seen lately that I don’t mind endorsing… I see you (suspense thriller) The drop ( suspense drama) History of Violence (action thriller drama) Chef (feel good drama) Lansky (mafia drama) At Close Range (true drama suspense) It’s cool to see what others like and help me catch a few that I’ve likely missed.
Legend (Crime Drama about the Kray Brothers) Tigerland ( war drama ) 2nd Hand Lions (Little bit of everything) Hildalgo (If you like horses you will love this one)
Is that a remake ot just colorized? Talk about trauma in schools. I was in maybe 7th grade when some SS teacher decided to show it to the class. I had seen “world at war” before but this was next level. Was much happier perusing porn.
Adventure I guess. 2 people trying to save themselves in the ARTIC. Many calamities. Has the F word a couple of times.
Survival drama, a little bit of thriller element, but not crime/mystery stuff. Mads Mikkelsen, so you know it cannot be bad.
Remake. I saw it first before I found out that it was a novel and had previously made into a movie. There is a sound, err a note, in the theme song that is just spooky that lets you know that this is to be taken seriously. You'll know it when you hear it. OT: After watching it, it let me know how realistic one of my fav video games was. Battlefield 1 (set in WW1).
Thanks. I have Covid so I’m able to scratch out some time for the important stuff. I just watched a Bronx tale. Never seen it before, it was meh.
Best picture nominee this year. Of all the nominees the only 3 I saw were All Quiet on the Western Front, Banshees of Inisherin, and Everything Everywhere All at Once. I liked 2 of these 3, and hated the movie that actually won. By the last third of EEAAO I was so bored I was hitting the fast forward button through most of it.
I haven't seen the other 2. I don't catch new movies very often, at all. I really liked All Quiet. Hell, I may watch it again this weekend.
Yeah, I thought it was just ok. Like most Oscar winners lately, its a movie I will never watch again and probably completely forget about in a few years. Good to see the guy from the Chinese Restaurant Seinfeld episode is still alive and working in his 90s.
