Hate to see this type of thing happen to anyone in any situation. Hopefully, this will be a wake-up call and she'll get some help.
I saw Kaila Pollard outside the dugout with the rest of her teammates during tonight's UNF game. She had a square black padded brace strapped around her lower back.

Tied for 7th in SEC and 4th overall which is still 60 percentage points less than TW's average. Not the greatest but these Gators will rise again. It is just a question of when.
For these ladies to have a better than a .500 record in the SEC they have to win one from GA., win one from Tenn., sweep Miss and take 2 out of 3 from Ky. If they did that they would probably host a regional. I would be satisfied with that.
They definitely have a tough road ahead to host. 2 games against FSU as well as a doubleheader vs. USF. They've never had a losing SEC record under Tim Walton and were 13-11 last year, 12-12 in 2019. And in both of those years they made the WCWS. We just keep pulling for them and hope for the best.
No. 15 Gators to Host No. 12 Bulldogs Sold Out Top 15 Southeastern Conference Showdown - Florida Gators
Skylar now batting 500 in conference play. Fantastic. If your the opposing coach in a close game, do you pitch to Skylar or do you walk her and take your chances with Kendra and Charla?
Skylar is in the zone currently. I would put her on until she cools. Hopefully she stays hot! On another note, what can be done to ensure that the purchase of tickets get to people who actually show up and use the seat? I’m not sure there is a solution beyond increased ticket prices.
No I don’t work for the government and don’t support higher ticket prices. My comment simply implied that inexpensive ticket prices induce purchase without attendance, I presume with the hope of reselling. Is there a solution to empty seats at a sold out game?
tggator07 brings up an interesting issue. Georgia game sold out -- yet at first pitch probably a third or half of the seats empty. Granted people from the berms seem to come over and fill in the seats after a few innings, but KSP would rock more if the berms and the seats were both full. If it were up to me, I'd keep ticket prices the same. But if you miss 25% of SEC conference play, then you lose first-refusal renewal privileges for your seats and have to try to get season tickets like anyone else for the next year. Since the tickets are scanned upon entry, UF knows exactly who is showing up. It might take a few years, but eventually this would concentrate the seats into the hands of the true fans who want to show up and support the team. KSP would have even more of a home field advantage.
I completely agree. Empty seats don't look good. How about if your ticket is not used by a certain time the ticket can be resold and proceeds are split between the original ticket holder and the university.
