Spurriers teams had some completely dysfunctional looking performances. O&B games rarely ever looked good and when they did it was often smoke and mirrors. One poster is arguing wait and see and supporting it with facts like how the offensive line is split up and not using all of their personnel. Seems reasonable. Then you have the we suck crowd based off a scrimmage. To each their own but she isn't wrong for calling it out

Agree… but I thought that was the plan all along. And hopefully a good one. I realize the QB play wasn’t exactly inspiring but I don’t know how much validity you can put on that when the DL is pushing around a patched up OL. Then on top of that, the 17 times they were calling the play dead when one of them just sticks his hand out and touches him when some of them clearly had an opportunity to finish out the play and make something happen. The under thrown deep balls was what was most concerning IMO. We seem to have some receivers that can really scoot vertically, but came up short every time. Front 7 play was very encouraging. We have some dudes. Also, usually in these games they seem to handcuff the defense and give the offense more room. This one was the other way around. They turned them loose on D.
Read up on that and Gator football history-you will find that there were worse seasons and games than this practice game before 2001 Like 0-10-1, 4th and dumb, Doug Dickey era to name a few
Can’t tell much from a spring game. However I did notice that shemar James and Kamari Wilson were very active on defense. The offensive line was a mess but that is to be expected with so many new faces. Caleb Douglas continues to have issues with ball security.
