I thought this name was on the radar. So that's three bigs he signed this year. It appears we are set down low as far as roster spots, if not quality depth. Seems there will need to be some development there.

    Now it's another guard/ wing.

Freshman center brings us to 10. On3 has him 13th ranked center and 110 overall. Three more to go.

    Center
If Aly commits I think he is our starting center with 7-1 Micah splits time and Alex Condon redshirts. Shimmy and EJ Jarvis can also play center.

    Power Forward
Shimmy, EJ Jarvis , and Fudge at Power Forward.

    Swing(Small Forward)
Lets Fudge to get minutes at the 3 with Richard and 6-9 Freshman Haugh redshirting at the 3. Golden said Haugh at 6-9 can handle and shoot. His Junior tape shows it. His senior tape he had to play center but still brought the ball up court on occasion.

    Guard
    Kugel, Richard, Clayton

    Point
    Clayton, Aberdeen, Kugel

Condon comes from a background of Aussie Rules Football so there is a presumption that he will not shy away from contact :)

Newbies Handlogten (7'-1"), Jarvis (6'-8"), Condon (6'-11" officially, but I think that's exaggerated), and Haugh (6'-9"). Already in the bullpen, Shimmy (6'-10"). Some good size on this team. Handlogten is officially UF's first 7-footer since Dwayne Schintzius.

Unofficially, I've heard that Joakim is actually 7' but wanted to be listed as 6'-11" so that he could surprise his opponents when they stepped into the jump circle. Like he was a mind-game student of Steve Spurrier and Sun Tsu. I know that he looked taller than a couple of listed 7-footers he played against.

I was responding to your comment that he signed 3 bigs this year. I only see 2. Handlotion and condon.

Jarvis and Haugh are both PF. Jarvis for certain is a ball handler. From what I've read, I can't really tell with Haugh but he seems like a defensive PF. I wouldn't consider them bigs as in playing the 5.

Next year is going to be very similar in that position to this year. One main guy in handlotion backups in condon and Shimmy (deal lord spare me). Maybe one of the PF floats over.

Still, I think we only signed 2 of what I consider to be bigs. But agreed that we should have some good size. Also Fudge who is 6'8

I view the 4 and 5 as being the big man positions. We have 6 players at those positions right now. Shimmy should be fine. He is a high IQ, unselfish player who can shoot and has good size. He also moved his feet well guarding the post in the SEC tournament game. He should get stronger and should improve with experience. Additionally, it’s almost a certainty that we will sign at least one more big man.

I tend to go look a film of the players instead of guessing from what is written. Since you didn't get to see Haugh... He has handles and can slash to the basket.

I was considering PF/C as bigs and citing three as in the three incoming freshmen.

Shimmy also showed some ability to box out and rebound in traffic late in the season. He's a strong man.

I mean ok but the term is typically used to describe a 5. If that's the case, then everyone who isn't a guard is basically a big. There is a huge difference in the character of play between a PF and a C.

I don't know what to tell you dude. I went by what I have read. That isn't guessing - that is reading.

I'm not an expert on the kid's game, and you are right, I haven't seen him play or his film. Guess what, that's why I said "FROM WHAT I'VE READ." You know, sometimes people haven't watched all the film so they actually READ articles. In fact, I would venture to say that most only READ articles on recruits unless what they read happens to have some video attached. Heck, 247 doesn't even have a video of him under his profile. That's why I said "FROM WHAT I'VE READ."

I could understand you thinking I'm guessing, if, like, I didn't say "FROM WHAT I'VE READ". Or, if even I said something along the lines of "He is just a defensive player" without qualification. A qualification would be something along the lines of "FROM WHAT I'VE READ"

I think you deserve some kind of honorific flair, just not sure what you would like. Maybe a signature of "I WATCH ALL THE FILM"

But, hey, thanks for making the point I was actually trying to make.
