Not policing your grammar. Just pointing out the irony of your post.

Good for you, but if not for legislation passed to fund public education and especially scholarships for the less fortunate, I doubt many Americans would be as educated as they are and contributing to society the way they do.

They definitely affect me. I know many other people whose lives they affect. If you're unaffected, you have something to be grateful for.

Yeah it's just an ignorant thing to say (that elected officials have no effect on us). Of course they do. Millions of women now can't choose to get an abortion because of elected officials. Millions of Americans now have health insurance because of who we elected in 2008. And millions more don't have health insurance in states like Florida because of who Florida has elected since 2008. Just 2 of many ways we are affected by the people we elect.

I think he was saying he chooses to live in such a way that elections have very little effect his daily life. I don't want to speak for him, but that is the way I choose to live my life. I choose to rely on myself and my family so I vote that way. Others choose to rely on government and vote that way. Most are somewhere in the middle.

Doesn't matter how you choose to live your life, elections still have an effect on you, especially, recently, if you are a woman of child-bearing age.

Again, that's nice for you. Other people, even those who don't rely on the government, don't have that luxury. And you may eventually not have that luxury either.

    Reply redacted.

This isn’t the right forum and you aren’t the right audience to rant about the uni-party.

key word "some" union dues. Sure doesn't look like that law is covering all unions of public employees. May not stand up to legal scrutiny.

nope, just the ones he had already alienated with his attacks on education and covid and strangely enough , the ones most populated by women.

Gonna be hard to get it reversed on that ground. Equal Protection is largely toothless in situations like these, despite the fact that the law is clearly punishing "enemies" of DeSantis and protecting his "allies" (i.e., the unions that endorsed him).

This is where your tax money is going folks. Not to worry, we’ll just charge you out the wazoo to even find out about the nonsense.

Desantis is nowhere to be found as South Florida continues to deal with flooding. He’s too busy promoting his crappy book off in Ohio to be bothered with it. All that rain must be too woke for him.

Trump, Bannon and now DeSantis are proving the old maxim about a fool and his money.
