O&B game is just about here. Been getting bits and pieces here and there about this team through spring practice updates, but I’m really looking forward to seeing them in action, in person this Thursday at 7:30pm. Who else is going??? I’m hoping to see Mertz deliver the ball with accuracy to the right player and the Oline open some holes for the RB’s. On D, need to find the leader. Who’s it going to be? James, Williams, McClellan, Umanmielen??? Can’t wait for kickoff. With that said, 1st TD of the 2023 O&B game will be Pearsall on a deep bomb. Go Gators!!!

Caleb Douglas for 26 yard TD pass from Mertz on a Rollout. This occurs at 7:44pm with a 5mph southwest breeze and 68% humidity. Grass is .48 inches height at point of Mertz release and is .47 inches in height where Douglas catches it, but goes down to .43 where he crosses the goal line. Douglas takes a few high steps while crossing the goal line, rolls to left and flips ball to the ref, who proceeds to drop it while flagging Pearsall for excessive celebration. I think I nailed this projection.
The weather is not looking good for the O&B game tomorrow night. I was looking forward to seeing the game but I really don’t want to sit in the pouring rain and lightning. Anybody else trying to decide?
