Some 'bragging' here... AU allowed 30 runs AND 30 walks in aTm series. Pretty special. Wonder if theres a correlation between the 2??? Last 3 series runs allowed.. 30, 30, 33... yet 4-5 in those games lol
Was looking forward to this one. That's a shame. The meltdown on Tigerdroppings is a nice consolation, though.
^ They are melting down from a road split vs top 10 team?? should just wait for fball then, and not torture selves..lol
They are claiming SC are a bunch of cowards...yadda yadda. You know LSU fans---the world is always against them.
Ole Miss had a chance to take the series from the Hogs but late inning pitching let them down, maybe they're starting to find form?
UGa up 3-0 in game 3. UK better win this, not another series win on their schedule Im seeing. aTm at home maybe, but unlikely IMO... aTm getting healthy and looking like their pre season rankings last couple weeks. Pitching not great, but whos is, Vandy I guess,,bout it. UGa 4-0 now in 3rd. 7inn game,,assume so anyways since 1st one was
UK does stay #1 in RPI, UGa winning today bumped them back to a Q1, so didnt hurt them that bad on road. Andstill living off mid major opp. high RPIs,,Elon 17 Ind St 28 etc.. Will eventually start dropping regardless the more conf games the mids play. IMo UGa better than SEC record and UK not as good. UGa swept by SC/Vandy,, easily could of won 2 or 3 in Auburn. UK had played MSU Bama Mizz, big difference,,at least in 2 of the 3
Georgia still a mystery to me. 0-6 vs top 2 in league, ok so not on that level. but 3-3 in other 6, which included a top 2 at time if buy UK. And a missing homeplate in a AU loss from being 4-2 in those 6. Up to 36 rpi now, but looking at remaining schedule, it aint pretty. 2 'easiest' series are on road. Mizz, Ole Miss. plus at UF.. home for Vols, Pigs , & LSU . eek
6 of the top 8 RPI spots are held by SEC teams: 1 - Kentucky (9-3, 27-5) 2 - Virginia 3 - South Carolina (9-2, 28-4) 4 - LSU (7-4, 26-5) 5 - Wake Forest 6 - Arkansas (8-4, 25-6) 7 - Vanderbilt (11-1, 26-6) 8 - FLORIDA (9-3, 27-6) Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
Georgia's 2 wins over Kentucky helps us move up to 3rd in the SEC race now a tie with Kentucky. Hopefully now Georgia won't feel so desperate to win when they come here this weekend.
87— I get what you’re saying but Georgia feeling desperate ought to only be weight on them—on our end we just need to be ready to rock’n’roll Gator Baseball style!
I know you are just reporting the #s, so not you, and there is no perfect system, but.. Kentucky loses 2 of 3 to last place Georgia and still has the top RPI? Schedule will ultimately take care of itself, but Kentucky with the # 1 RPI is an indictment of RPI IMO.
It's definitely an archaic measuring tool. One year, 2015, I believe, a couple of Missouri Valley teams had ridiculously high RPIs and both got to host. Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
As oppposed to what? Im for anything that excludes ALL human element, but not sure what that is. RPI is pretty accurate by time last game played. Even more so after post season played. Always outliers, but no different than media ranking a Campbell in top 15 purely based on overall record.. I can usually at least understand the rpi logic/formula, even if dont agree. I dont buy UK as T20 muchless 1. But they are 27-5 vs #5 SOS. 15-4 v Q1. Ive mentioned half of those Q1s are v mid majors, & other half v SEC combined record of 11-25.. Give it 2 or 3 weeks UK wont be in T10-15,, unless keep winning of course..lol but even still their amount of Q1 opps/wins will shrink Im guessing.. All 3 of their SEC series win will most likely not be Q1 by years end. Bama could be, I still have hope for them. RPI doesnt overreact to a couple or 3 games like media does..Or to the names on jerseys. That alone why i use it for rankings,, & or ELO Why is a 5-7 Vols still ranked by media?? b/c they started high?? lolol silllyness. i do think RPI could use a little tweeking.. Q1 1-25 maybe instead of 1-50, etc. Au shouldnt be a Q1 win for anyone currently..
