What exactly are your supposed to do when you have a pitcher with plus stuff? These guys are top future draft picks….this sounds like the posts on here back in the day when the offense couldn’t score and here we are leading the country in runs scored……..
Just got home from the game. Gator fans were thin in number but fat in spirit! Seeing the team live was such a treat. A dominant performance and it sucked the life out of the Vol fans around us. Jac’s home run was a marvel to behold.
You spoil pitches waiting for a pitch to hit. And if you don't get one you just spoil as many as you can. Make the opposing pitcher work hard for the out.
His play was even more impressive in-person. An amazing throw and Jac’s work to dig it out cannot be over stated.
I understand that but most times that is easier said than done. It’s a big deal when a batter has a 9 or 10 pitch at bat for a reason……it happens very infrequently.
A ten pitch at bat for an out is sometimes better than a one pitch single especially with two outs and nobody on.
Yes! If you look at my avatar that’s the live action shot of Alan coming off of the mound at “The Mac” during the 2005 Super Regional game vs SWAC after an eleven pitch confrontation between Alan and their SS ending with the 3rd out (K/swinging) of the inning with the bases juiced. Good memories.
Don’t disagree on that premise but the execution of it is a different story….that’s all. No need to discuss further
Cr the gvvv TV b b h The way the vols relievers have pitched in this series, I'd say keep the starters in as long as possible. We've done much better against their starters than relief pitchers at least in this series.
