You wouldn’t be so charged and neither would 99.9% of the population for the same actions. Respectfully.
Lost in all his other bad news, Trump got hammered in DC today. He lost his emergency request for a stay 3-0 to prevent his key aides from testifying in the January 6 probe due to executive privilege. Ok so there's Trump and Cohen.... but there are thousands of others that got off scot free. Probably.
I think taxi medallions and tax evasion were also contributing factors but that’s nothing compared to bank fraud, Rico violations, sedition, GA voting interference, stealing top secret documents, hiding the ones he didn’t turn over, Jan 6th, countless sexual assaults and rape and let’s face it probably treason. I’d not be surprised he ordered a hit on someone. A real swell guy outside of his narcissism and sociopathy.
Good point. Most of us who pay off porn stars with 6 figures and write it off as a business expense never get caught. I just liquidated a $100k 401k to keep “Bambi Bunghole” quiet. Gonna tell my wife I was hacked by Anonymous.
Do you even know what the indictment alleges, or are you just going by what Trump or Fox or a similar outlet are claiming? If what is being alleged is proven, Trump committed felonies, not just misdemeanors. It still amazes me that a small percentage of the population continues finding excuses for Trump's despicable conduct.
Bragg probably shouldn't have filed this indictment. https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2023/04/04/trump-indictment-what-it-means/ “If you’re going to indict a former president, especially this one, you ought to have a crisp, clear distillation of the crime. This is certainly not that,” said Robert Kelner, a Republican lawyer and Trump critic. “This is thinner gruel than I expected.” John Coffee Jr., a Columbia Law School professor, said he believes the documents are vague as to how Trump violated election laws, an element Bragg’s prosecutors will need to prove to jurors to make the felony charges stick. “It is still a rather unclear story they are telling,” he said. “I’m not saying it is fatal, but there is still a big mystery they have kept us in the dark about. And that mystery is what is the second offense that raises this to a felony?” Analysts said prosecutors may also have difficulty convincing jurors that Cohen is credible. The former lawyer and confidant for Trump dramatically turned on his former boss in 2018 and has been an outspoken critic of the former president ever since. Cohen pleaded guilty to various crimes, including violating federal campaign finance law by paying off Daniels. In dramatic testimony to Congress before reporting to serve about a year in prison in 2019, Cohen insisted he acted on Trump’s instructions throughout." And then this from Ruth Marcus: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/04/04/trump-indictment-unilluminating-leap/ "The hard question is whether those efforts also violated the criminal law — specifically, now that a New York grand jury has indicted him on 34 felony counts, whether they violated the laws of the state of New York. On that front, the indictment unsealed on Tuesday is disturbingly unilluminating, and the theory on which it rests is debatable at best, unnervingly flimsy at worst."
The biggest mistake Bragg seems to have made so far is not telling a much clearer picture in yesterday’s docs. He is already losing the narrative. And if he can’t tell that story and is relying on an amorphous series of unproven possibilities, then he is going to get crushed at trial.
China say indictment cause Trump to lose face. The Twitter Menswear Guy Spotted an Orange Makeup Stain on Trump’s Suit
Trump has a swirling hair combover, wears orange makeup and Depends. The cocaine he uses to be "up" and the valium he takes to relax give him a perpetual case of uncontrollable diarrhea.
