Little known fact: Honda Pilots driven by unfocused, worn out parents of teenagers also rarely have turn signal use.:eek::D

Looks like the (most likely) corrupt and certainly ineffective chief of police and DA is out.

Unfortunately those are the only kind of DAs and cops available

Well maybe the preponderance. I think it’s more prevalent in big cities with big organized crime syndicates .

That and the Gandy bridge. Mostly motorcycles but they put people on each end to stop traffic, then race then let people go when the police are called.

I'm pretty close to Bayshore as well, it has calmed down since they lowered the limit to 35 and I see cops out there on the regular. Maybe not at 2 am though, I needs my beauty sleep.

I drive fast but once late on Gandy 3 or 4 bikes went by me at at least 150. Scared the bejeezus out of me.

What about him. The guys a GOP’r he’s still in office as far as I know . 89 years old. I met him in Sarasota at the ritz. He was polite but every bit of his age 87 at the time.

Edit I’m sure we the tax payers were footing the bill but I don’t get too worked up about that

He's senile and losing his mind based on his awful social media posts and public statements. Or should only old Democrats retire?

Oh I see. Absolutely I made the point in my first post that the GOP doesn’t retire the ancient but particularly the loons either

MTG Sanyo’s and the like would not thrive in a respectable party

Chicago then elects a more progressive mayor who is even further imploding that city. Maybe deal with your crime problem before suggesting ridiculous taxes. I feel sorry for people that live there.

Chicago, New York, and LA have nearly identical non-gun death statistics. Chicago has a gun violence issue and is the only major city of the 3 bordered by tons of easy to get right wing gun states. The violence in Chicago is pretty concentrated in two areas. The south side and the central west. Here is a good article if you really care. There is no link to progressive policies.

All big cities have a violence problem. Chicago's is different.

I ended up lost in the Cabrini Green housing projects at 2a the week of the Rodney King verdict and survived. It’s a safe city :). Of course a security guard spotted us and high tailed us out of here, so that helped….

Good on Chicago for rejecting the Republican pretending to be a Democrat.

Its pretty different now. Part of them are fenced off and empty in fact (pretty sure they filmed some of the new Candy Man movie there too). Basically walked from River North to Old Town area. Of course this was in the middle of the day too.

I live a few blocks west of Austin in Oak Park. I ride the CTA green line through the west side to get downtown. On weekends I ride my bike eastward on Division through the northern edge of the hood. Never had a problem I couldn’t handle. The gang bangers with guns aren’t shooting old white guys.

I love this city. What’s going on in that community is heartbreaking. Hearing people from other states gloating about it is disgusting.

Always someone else’s fault huh? Chicago and New Orleans are the two with the most violent deaths in the country. Chicago’s is due to being in close proximity to right wing gun states? Interesting conclusion.
