What’s happening that’s resulting in the transfers? Playing time, bad offensive fit or players just looking for greener pastures?
Anticipating maybe guard-heavy next year and wanting to go elsewhere for more guaranteed PT? I don't know. Just guessing.
I understand Jordyn looking for a fresh start for whatever reason (we don’t know). But Deans leaving is worrisome to me.
Yeah, that's a head-scratcher. She was made a starter from the get-go and that still wasn't good enough. Maybe she sees the return of Broughton and the addition of 2 5-stars as meaning she'll be on the bench. She shouldn't; starting point guard is hers to lose. I hate all this endless transfers crap.
Zippy coming back, alongside Nina and Alberte, plus Aliyah (Texas transfer) and incoming McDonald’s All-America guard.
Deans would be behind Zippy, she is a 2 guard in a PGs body. Plus we have Aliyah, Berte, Myka we want more PT for. Deans was a walking turnover a lot of games. She is explosive for sure, but how balanced do we want this roster?
Deans committed turnovers in bunches, to be sure. But so did the rest of the team. We were still committing turnovers in the last game of the season as if it were the first game of the season.
oh we sure did, but Deans as a PG has to be better with her passes. I wish her nothing but the best but we are trying to get better PG play.
I’m hearing that tomorrow, Nina Rickards is also announcing she is putting her name in the transfer portal ..
