    According to the article:

Blanche, until recently a partner at law firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, said in an email obtained by POLITICO that he was resigning from the firm because “I have been asked to represent Trump in the recently charged DA case, and after much thought/consideration, I have decided it is the best thing for me to do and an opportunity I should not pass up.”

Apparently Agent Smith is moving at remarkable speed. A show is expected to drop there in the next 3 months according to insiders…

Read he’s getting a $1M plus retainer. Not sure it’s the best career move unless he wants to be paid for hire type catering to GOP losers and think tanks

Who knows how accurate it may or may not be, but I saw one article suggesting the partners at that firm make an average/minimum (?) of $4M a year. Wouldn't surprise me if it's higher than that. Yeah, seems like an odd career move to me without knowing more. Maybe they have a relationship given the Manafort and Fruman cases.

its actually not the worst move. He will get paid a bunch of money, be a national name, and this is the weakest of the cases, so he could win it and be the Go to guy for the next 20 years.

Extortion makes men do terrible things. And it’s not that he’s gay it’s something really dark…

Krise got $3M but I have the impression it was to be for more substantive work but he was subsequently sidelined for the looney MAGA lawyers.

The fees for Trump will only go up..

It's almost entirely about the classified records investigation and especially the search of Mar-a-Lago. I still recall the line that Trump and his sycophants in Congress and the media loved to use, a statement to the effect "if they can search the home of a former president they can search your home". If I was illegally squirreling classified documents and lying to a court about it I would expect the FBI to search my home.

Pretty safe bet that if any of us mere mortals had classified documents in our home and lied about it, they would do a lot more than that.

All those swangers were very motivated to restore order in 2020. Will they have the same gusto?

We certainly would have been charged much sooner than the former president, most likely in a secure institution at federal expense either awaiting trial or serving a significant term or if we had the assets out on bond awaiting trial. We would definitely not get same pass as the Orange One although if Jack Smith does his job Trump's current situation is only temporary.

Yeah, us mortals get locked up for things like crossing imaginary lines with a bunch of plants. "You say that I'm an outlaw, you say that I'm a thief, but where's the Christmas dinner for the people on relief?"
