There have been only three schools that have won national titles in football, basketball, and baseball. They are Michigan, Ohio State, and ... hmm, let's see here... oh yeah, the University of Florida. In basketball, there are now five Florida schools that have made it to the Final Four. UF, Jacksonville (with Artis Gilmore), FSU (with Dave Cowens), FAU, and Miami. For a total of nine Final Fours. UF has more of those Final Fours (5) than all the others combined. It needs to stay that way.
FAU announces 10-year contract extension for Dusty May after he guided Owls to magical 2023 Final Four run
Not correct / FSU and Cowens. Try Lawrence McCray. And they stretched mighty UCLA and Bill Walton to a close ending.
Love how this FAU team played. Looks like closest thing to Billy ball going. I wouldn't bet against him at FAU particularly if they find some private money to fund the players NIL money.
Ah, you are correct. Thanks. Cowens went into the NBA in 1970, and FSU was in the Final Four in '72. He may be the only Nolie I've ever liked.
Agree. I loved Cowens when he played or the Celtics. I was pretty young and had no idea he played for the enemy. Still like him even though he made one really bad decision
