Nice night for Nesbitt. Sully Must be pulling him to save him for a Tuesday start. 66 pitches w Three days rest should not be a problem
Auburn is a pretty simplistic team… Throw strikes and don’t get way behind an account, don’t walk them, don’t hit them with pictures, and there an average hitting team at best. I suspect that the emphasis The next two nights will be getting ahead in the count and not pitching from behind and I think we win both games
Gators very flat but much of it is on the shoulders of the Friday Night Guy. Sproat not getting through the second inning creates a huge hill to climb and a big let down for the team-- it shows with the lack of clutch hits when the opportunities have been there. We're up against bullpen guys and have not been able to break through. I've been concerned about our weekend starters since for a few weeks now and tonight only deepens my concern.
If Purnell follows Nesbitt’s lead and eats innings we will be fine. Again some may overlook it but guys coming out of the bull pin early in the game and giving you almost 4 innings of no earned runs is huge
I'm blown away by how the starters are suddenly struggling and the pen is lights out. I've never seen anything like this.
