Read the article, upgrades coming. But regardless, figure someone will make an offer he won’t turn down at some point.
Good for him, not to get to lost in the rat race --- but I don't think its sustainable their to compete at this level. Too many other programs in the state, makes it even more difficult. Could FAU be the next Gonzaga or Creighton or Butler, possibly, but highly doubtful.
Who knows, he might stay long enough that he might jump at UF’s job if it comes up in two or three years. I don’t know if CTG can recruit to get Florida where it wants to be. We will see, show me! I believe the NIL is a hindrance to UF. Why, because we aren’t exploiting it. UF needs to put get the NIL an office in the Odome, like Alabama in football with the Lear group. Show out, act like you’re in it to let great players prosper like they should. Let it be said, it is about the Jimmies and Joes.
Seriously…..of course not. The state of Florida has plenty of high school talent, for both. I would just like to see the profile of CBB improved across the state, men & women. I want the Riley Kugel’s to stay in-state. Plus, if we find ourselves getting out-recruited by FAU, then we’ve got bigger problems.
I’m not so sure it would be a huge detriment. There is a saying…a rising tide lifts all boats. Perhaps an infusion of basketball interest in the state of Florida would not be all bad.
Not intending to hi-jack but Coach Napier has already done something similar with his staff. Maybe BB coning . . .
