Hallgator 'Net NCAA Bracket Pool

Holy bracket-busters, Batman. I don't know what else to say. Once the FF is decided, I'll try to provide an if-then set of scenarios. It appears certain who the winner will be if UConn, Gonzaga, or TX win it all. I haven't done the math on that, though. In the meantime, enjoy the rest of the games!

Shooting from the hip here, but as far as I can tell, the following are alive for first place:

• @ApexNC gets first if UConn wins it all. Would have a tie-breaker if gets TX in FF w UConn advancing and losing to the South Regional champ in the final.
• @llm85 gets first if TX wins the championship.
• @ETGator wins if TX advances to the championship and loses to the South Regional champ.
• @gatortenor37 can reach a tie-breaker if TX wins today, loses to UConn, and then UConn loses to the south regional winner.

I see these in order of probability, as UConn is already in the FF and looks like the team to beat. TX, however, is for real and has a legit chance to win it all. Now, if somehow Miami wins it all (uggh), that might leave tenor and APEX tied for first, but I'm not entirely sure about that scenario. Frankly, I'm counting on TX to beat Miami's a$$ today.

Good call. With only the championship game remaining everyone's points are fixed, except for @ApexNC, who is tied with @gatortenor37. If UConn wins, Apex is our bracket champion. If San Diego St wins, it goes to a tie-breaker, which is total points in the championship game. Tenor has 124 total pts and Apex has 154. So with a SanDSt win, tenor would need 139 or fewer total pts and Apex would need 140 or more.

 

Congrats to this year's first annual Nuttin' But Net Bracket Pool champion, @ApexNC. Apex also won the football Picks Panel. Maybe it's time to plan a trip to Vegas once football & hoops season roll around again! Here are the final standings.
