DOD retired during this offseason. So proud to have followed him and know his family. Well Done Darren!
I'm not sure about Danny Young, Snead, Kolo and Richie Martin. As 74 mentioned DOD has retired, otherwise I can't think of anyone else.
Kolo made the reds roster for a minute last year, but doesn’t look like he made the orioles roster this year. Doesn’t look like DY made the braves roster this year, but won’t be surprised if he gets called up once or twice through the season. Pretty sure Snead made the A’s roster. Reds released Richie Martin and don’t see where he’s re-signed anywhere else. Forgot DOD hung up his cleats. Thought Z might do the same.
Martin w/ Reds now, or last I heard, would guess not on 26 man. But probably a good thing for him not with Os anymore. Like 6 top 30 prospects fighting it out for the INF positions he plays lol. He was on Os opening day roster last year though.
My first thought is Vandy recently(tied w/ UF this year) Going back a while maybe a CSF. But guessing the answer is mentioned along w/ the first guess..
Arizona State was the very best program way back in the 70's. Maybe them. Added in edit: Probably not. College was not the path to the pros back then.
ASU had some big names in that era for sure.. Bonds, Horner, Reggie, Rick Monday. more i cant remember Im sure. Bonds w/ ASU is one of my first CWS memories ,probably first year televised..lol. And the Maine BlackBears being there what seemed like a lot,,think only 3-4 times but all early 80s.. I thought they were a power back then.
