I was a giant Birdie fan particularly over Monserie(sp). However, it took me one game during the first game of the year to say Birdie's career at UF is now over. Stuckey is the best setter we have ever had, including Kelly Murphy. You watch her and you know why Mary recruited her out of BF Wyoming. If Mary can find 2 excellent hitters (think 2 Maina's) she has a final 4 team. This is Mary's last shot and she knows it.
This is Anna Dixon, our transfer from Missouri. Just a passing tidbit. Today, I saw her and Mary chatting on the sidewalk between the Heavener and Lemerand Centers. The spring roster is now posted on floridagators.com
When does the Spring schedule get posted? The team must know by now. If anyone with inside info ......cough, cough, Scrappy...... wants to leak it to me, I can keep it under wraps. But it's time to plan travel to GNV.
The Spring Roster only has one setter - Alexis. Do we expect Flagler college transfer Kennedy Muff to come soon, or must the team try to hold intra squad practices with just one setter all Spring?
I know Kennedy Muff was in the Transfer Portal and was shown as committed to Florida. But, there has been no official announcement by our SID.
Next year there are 9 freshmen and sophomores and no seniors (1 grad transfer). I thought last year's team was young and inexperienced? How many players transferred out?
Jackie said the spring schedule should be coming out soon. I tried to find out about another setter. She just said, 'Thank you for your interest in the VB team in the offseason.
We watched a couple of intra-squads last year. That should be interesting with only one setter. Stuckey will have to duck back under the net. LOL

HUGE NEWS FROM THE SPRING VOLLEYBALL GAME TODAY: Coach Dave Boos now sporting a full beard and mustache. Seriously, considering that we are not even in the same league as Miami when it comes to paying volleyball players (NIL), we did pretty well, with a scrappy 3-2 loss. Seemed like much faster sets from Stuckey to the outside pins that lead to points.
That was my point. I think we're just starting to realize that NIL $$$ is going to be important. Since we are paying $0 and Miami is paying $15K for their transfers (rumored), we're definitely not in their league. And, yeah, that's what I heard about Beason, so we are not in Nebraska's league either. Somehow I think we have to be talking about more money than on Merritt's NIL $$$ page:
