will be there first pick in the 2024 draft, unless he suffers an injury. The guy is unlike any ball player I've ever seen. Oh, and this team is really fun to watch. Team chemistry is starting to bubble.
Lefty that can throw in the high 90's is what MLB scouts see and like. As for how he can put a hurt on a baseball they all love that.
He is not anywhere close to the consistent level of a handful of other pitchers currently…..thus my “yet” comment.
He's a five tool guy with a higher ceiling than than any player drafted since A.Rod. AND as a bonus he's a south paw able to throw just shy of 100mph. AND he's 6'5" and 245 lbs of pure athlete. AND by all accounts is of strong character.
I know 5 tool gets tossed around a lot but a couple of the tools include running and defense. I am not sure he’s elite in those categories.
kind of hyperbole to state he is the highest ceiling guy since Arod. Hundreds of prospects 18+ will end of in the MLB hall of fame post Arods senior year of high school. 5 tools means he can play defense at the highest level (he clearly doesn’t) and has elite speed on the basebaths (he doesn’t). He is still a stud. Jac is having an awesome season and I hope it continues this year and next year too as he will be back for the gators.
Ohtani is actually pretty fast. He ranks in top 25% of ball players in speed according to statcast. in the end jac is quite the prospect. No doubt about it. Just when people say 5 tool it means something different. Wyatt Langford is actually considered fringe 5 tool player as he has it all Speed Defense Arm strength Hit for average Hit for power
