Oh man, what a great ride that was. One small clarification I’d like to offer: the final game against LSU was beautifully pitched by one freshman Tyler Dyson, who was not one of our big 3 starters. He just sort of showed up at the end of the season and proceeded to magnificently blow down Wake Forest and then LSU to clench both series.
but not the Texas school?? lol 2 bama schols are about where they expected to be after 2 weeks. If not higher(standings wise) based on schedule. My optimistic goal for one of them after 9 was 3-6.. Will come up 1 short. Getting 1 on road is ideal, getting 1 on road at 2 top 5s is unrealistic,, but 'they' knew that when made schedules .. both bama schools at Ark & UF in first 3 weeks,,gee thanks.
Well I can't name everybody in the west with a losing record . Truth be told I still have a hard time thinking of the Aggies as an sec team.
Actually in 2016 they started 23-1 before losing the last two at Kentucky on this same weekend to be at 23-3. I skimmed over 2020 because of the stuff that happened and then found 2016 was a better comparison.
But that 2020 start was really great and probably why they were preseason #1 in 2021. Covid really screwed up a lot of things.

Maybe FGCU will host a Regional after all and Miami will be the number 2. Wouldn't that be ..... interesting.
Camels are making most of the 2 ECU wins. Canes a strong SOS, 5 of 9 losses AT #2 & #3 FGCU SOS 181,,better almost win out if want to be in host discusion. And not much left that will help SOS
More stats related than rankings, but there are 11 guys in SEC with 10+ HR already. 6 more w/ 9. Just under half way mark. Only 6 got to 20 last year. I dont think Brandon Larsons record in jeopardy, but Cags could hit 30..maybe by end of weekend * I assume 40 is record Just my thoery, but the strikezone has shrunk considerably IMo due to the tracking now. Along w/ already bad pitching phase were in now(at most places) is producing lots of fat pitches. And Im always skeptical when a new batch of bats show up. DeMarini has 2 brand new models out this year.. used by many. but thats more conspiracy stuff..
FSU's streak of 44 straight NCAA appearances could be in jeopardy. They are currently 12-12. ACC is no slouch this season. They have Florida tmr and at Miami this weekend. JU the following week with Clemson at home.
They may finish under .500 this year. They have series vs #2 WF, @ #6 Louisville, @ NC State, @ Miami. And then still have series vs Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and Clemson.
SEC Standings after Week 3 Vanderbilt 9-0 23-5 South Carolina 8-1 26-3 Kentucky 8-1 25-3 Florida 7-2 24-5 LSU 6-3 24-4 Arkansas 6-3 23-5 Tennessee 4-5 21-8 Alabama 3-6 21-8 Missouri 3-6 19-9 Auburn 3-6 18-9-1 Texas A&M 3-6 17-11 Ole Miss 1-8 16-11 Mississippi State 1-8 16-13 Georgia 1-8 15-13 Gators in good position even though the competition has been all lower half. None of the top 4 have been challenged much. This week LSU travels to South Carolina and Florida travels to Tennessee. Missouri hosts Vandy so we need to hope Mizzou can find a way to win one at least. Kentucky is at Georgia and the only series that waits until Friday to start so they play Easter Sunday on the SECN. Everyone else kicks it off on Thursday for the Easter weekend.
SEC only received 4 hosts last year. On pace to exceed that Id say. Although I still say UK will fight be .500(look at 2nd 1/2 of sched) so remove them from that IMO
