Agreed….11 errors in 72 chances….ouch Edit: Halter has 5 in 46 so not a ton better but Halter has made some great plays that Kris would never make.
Halter also gives you senior leadership and sets a great example to the young guys with his hustle. No quit in that guy.
Looking back we might have allowed Kris to transfer to protect our scoreboard since Cags keeps trying to hit it so much.
I like Armstrong. But he's a defensive liability and his 16 HR's are against Jacksonville's schedule, not Florida's. Big difference.
He was here for four years and never found a spot in the regular lineup. He’d graduated, and been recruited over. Even if he was not told “you have to leave”, the writing on the wall was pretty clear. He would have no chance at getting time in the field and would be having a real hard time getting pinch hit opportunities. We have 3 or 4 guys that would be in front of him for anything we could use him for.
Yeah, I saw him play. I felt badly for him because he truly wanted to be a part of the team. I feel no ill feelings for him, wish him the best. He tried... now it seems that he's getting his game on, good for him.
Great kid and great teammate. Think he was an honor roll kid every year he was here too. Just never really found a role here. Was a decent dh/pinch hit option his last couple years, but overall he was a 250ish hitter with 12 hr’s in four years, and he’s a defensive liability. This year we have three or four guys piled up in front of him to play first, no way we play him at third, and we have a bunch of young guys with much higher ceilings who need opportunities at the plate. Jax seems like a good place for him and he was a good addition to their team.
Always liked KA. Glad he is ripping for his new team. Things did'nt work out here but he can still make it to the bigs if he cleans up some things and he gets a shot. GO GATORS!!!!
KA has the tools. Personally, I think he's a better fit at 1st. Delete the game with us and his defense closely matches Halter, which needs to improve to hold down third base. I can only imagine playing his former team was unnerving.
You won’t find a better kid than Kris. People forget he made his name in high school primarily on the mound, but arm injuries kept him from pitching at UF. He played SS in high school as well as other positions and made himself into a D1 hitter. No one works harder than him. He’s the kind of kid you want your daughter to marry.
Awesome to hear this. Big fan here. I figured he’d have a monster year in A-Sun. After he’s seen SEC pitching figured he be more than fine in ASun, that and looks conference is down some.
