What an outstanding performance from our bullpen today. Gotta be pumped about that going forward. See everybody in Jacksonville Tuesday against the holes.
Great job off playing never quit baseball Gators! Great Road SEC Sweep! We are watching our team come together!
Spent the last inning watching with my son explaining how pitchers set up hitters. Last guy up. After two change ups for strikes I told him that if I was pitching I would elevate a fastball. Textbook, but you can't always pitch that way otherwise the good hitters get wise.
Sweeping the current National Champs on their field is an accomplishment. I was going to say sweeping a ranked SEC on the road was an accomplishment but most of the SEC is ranked so it would be redundant.
Maybe Neely's evolving and growing into the type of closer we need this year. He's got stuff for sure, but when you've been a starter you're entire life and even on this team last year, that's a tough transition that takes a special type of mentality. At least that's what I think.
Who would have thought a few weeks ago that we would actually win a game over Ole Miss with the following: Cags - 8 walks Purnell pitching Arroyo then coming in followed by Abner
Correct, he has to develop his own mindset, his own confidence/swagger, and his own gunfighter’s stare….all of this plus the undeniable ability to leave his necessary drag marks!
The problem is that we wants Cags and BT in the lineup with BT catching when he can. Kind of have him catch when Cags pitches.
This ain't Little League where we could put him in right field. Isn't that funny that at youth league you put your worst outfielder in right but at higher levels you put your best outfield arm out there.
