Yes, unless the TV camera has a bad angle this ump has one of the smallest strike zones I’ve ever seen. It appears he’s missed more than just a few strikes for both pitchers. How fortunate is Jac to give up 2 runs giving up 8 walks with 2 errors in 3 and two thirds? We could be behind about 7-3 right now.
Cags was playing with fire all game-- 8 walks in 3.2 innings is almost unimaginable for a quality pitcher. DPs and Evans outstanding catch kept Ole Miss off the Board and the double over Langford's head probably would have ended the inning with a healthy Wyatt making the catch. But enough.
Zone ridiculous today. Ole Miss pitcher will end the inning with 86 pitches and he’s very lucky. If we are a little more patient we’d have more walks. Riopelle’s strikeout stands out as was just a bad miss by Blue based on what his zone has been all day.
