No I stand by what I posted. His post was without merit and was intellectually lazy, and gives the impression the poster lacks even the basic skills to make basic estimations of motives that might reveal glaringly obvious biases. To respond, whether the response be intelligent or flippant, gives credibility to the source which I’m unwilling to give. Not everyone chooses to tiptoe through the cesspool of bias and falsehoods, and no one needs to lower themselves by responding to silliness just to satisfy those of you who think they should. Just take care of yourself, okay?
Noted. I fired off on the response since I prefer a described rebuttal rather than the flippant-- likely more than the poster and the source actually deserves. I do understand frustration from the incessant postings of misinformation often quoted.

Does anyone else see the correlation between the tearing down of confederate statues / flags and the removal of movies or books from schools? Now, those on one side will say "I have the moral high ground, that form of censorship is ok". But here is the problem, If one person or group says I'm troubled and offended by Dr. Suess or a confederate statue because it makes me feel bad, then someone else who doesn't want their kid to see Ruby Bridges or learn about Rosa Parks truthfully in school because it makes it seem like all white people hate black people, then you get the type of climate we are in right now. And the back and forth is only going to get worse. If everyone is cool with that, then great!

I think the difference is that a public museum will still have information on Robert E Lee for example. There’s a difference between educating and glorifying.
All I'm saying is people shouldn't be shocked when there's push back for something going the other way. Whether that's Dr. Suess re-writes or mis-representing Rosa Park's impact. The biggest issue is that in order for these things to take effect, there have to be people elected or appointed or rising to important positions to get it done, keep that from happening in either direction, and you will start to make things better. I remember my history classes in high school and learning about Jim Crow and civil rights (my class ended with the moon landing and barely anything on Vietnam. I don't think the lessons made me feel guilty about anything, nor was it not lost on me that there were vast amounts of harm done to the black community. Why can't we go back and teach that way?
What makes you think kids aren’t taught that way. There’s a phony movement embellishing minute instances of educational misfeasance and falsely claiming “it’s an epidemic.” My children finished high school just a few years ago, and neither they nor their friends were “groomed” or educated dishonestly.
I'm quite sure they aren't being taught that way, my kids graduated high school recently and they didn't have an issue either, but once banning something becomes part of a playbook, someone is going to use it.
I think we are in agreement. The entire charade that has devolved into the religious takeover of our schools was unnecessary and based entirely upon a false premise and misleading narrative. When the victims of the Bogus Woke War are our children, it’s time to stop the tot-for-tat.
