I know Coach got some grief during the season, but she has set a tone with this team and its a good one. They could have done what the guys did in their NIT game and closed down for the year. Happy to see where we are. Future is bright.
19-14 now. Beat Bowling Green and we'll have back-to-back 20-win seasons. That's how you turn heads and get the attention of top high-schoolers. A 20-win season is magical, like a unicorn that shits rainbows.
This was a tough season, with the injuries and misfortune. And they're still playing. There's a lot to be proud of.
Yeah. I just saw that..game is March 27 at 6 pm up there. It's probably because there is an event already scheduled in our place..I know cause I am going to that event Monday..been scheduled for a couple of months...
Just made it back home from Clemson, it was a great game, the girls were dialed in and were hitting on all cylinders. Their three point shooting was great, a lot of the made 3’s were well outside the arc. Clemson has a great arena to watch basketball and there were over 1,000 fans at the game - great crowd since this week Clemson was on Spring Break. They far outnumbered us 11 Gator fans that were in the stands. I’m sure the ladies were looking forward to sleeping in their own beds for a couple of nights, then off to Bowling Green on Sunday afternoon.
Thanks a ton @1990Gator for the recap. I confess, I'm all aboard the bandwagon. Please send a few trillion more words in your next writeup. I'll read it. Can't get enough. So jacked up about this run. Hope they stay other-worldly on shooting. Hope Jordyn has a good shooting stat line to match her rebounding.
I was on the BG faculty in the early 80s, before they had wbk. Typical mid-major arena, not particularly intimidating but if the crowd is fired up, it’s an advantage. My wife’s opinion was that the two things to do in BG were listen to the corn grow and drink. I didn’t have good hearing.
Just re-watched the first half and 3rd quarter. Some fun basketball to watch. Makes me think of a certain poster here (now on my block list) who would constantly "contribute" his view that women's basketball wasn't worth watching.
