Florida football: TE Keon Zipperer injured during spring practice According to a post made on his personal Facebook page Thursday night, it appears that the damage might be more severe than we hope as he simply wrote “2024 shake back year” without any further clarification.
Could be carryover of mentality from last regime. Could be Keon just has bad luck. But I believe once CBN’s system and players are in place we will see fewer injuries, opt outs, shoe throws, etc etc. Patience is a virtue, posses it if you can: seldom found in women, never found in man. My wife has quoted that to me a kajillion times over the years. Somehow I see that as relevant in our situation now.
All I know is we have not had him available when he has been having his number called. Hopefully he’s like Trask where he’s snake it for agile then puts in a solid season. Now is his time.
Sucks that he's hurt. As a 5th yr senior, it would be his last chance to make an impression. At his height, I just don't see him having a long career in the NFL. NFL tight ends avg 6'4 255. He's listed at 6'1.
Hoping Zanders has a breakout year. He looked great in the spring game last year. Saw that he's lost 20 pounds since this past season and 50 since the '21 season. Mertz threw a lot to TE Jake Ferguson at Wisconsin. He should have no trouble finding Zanders who's the same height and has similar athleticism. I don't remember Zanders being targeted much last season.
Yep, of the short amount of video I watched from the GNFP guy, the Wisconsin TE was a good route runner and could catch well too. Looking forward to seeing the improvement for Zanders we're hearing about. Coach was saying the TEs showed a lot of good things in the scrimmage.
