Insane how quick their feet are. There is a basketball quick-twitch that you either have or don’t and FAU has several of those guys. Impressive recruiting by May.
Everyone was saying UT had all the advantages tonight. But their entire system is predicated on getting you out of what you want to do with their length. FAU is too fundamentally sound for that. Took FAU a few minutes early to adjust, but once they did they’ve been the better team. We will see what UT has left in the last 7 minutes.
TN has gotten a bit tight and FAU is taking over. Crunch time. FAU 48 TN 41 7:40 left and a flagrant foul on TN
A couple rough calls on the Vols the last few minutes but considering how much pushing and over the back they get away with it, they can’t complain.
By the way, side note… Lauren Shehadi, the sideline reporter in the other game tonight is a a UF grad.
Makes me a little mad that a school like FAU is looking like they'll be in the Elite 8 and Florida had a losing record. Hopefully in a few years we'll be the ones playing in this game and FAU will be back to being mediocre. Sorry to the people cheering them on. Congrats to you.
Lots of small schools have magical one or two year runs, it’s just random statistical variance, when you have 350 schools, a few each year will hit the right formula or get the right matchup in the tournament. That’s the beauty of the tournament and why we love it. Over time though it evens out almost always.
They aren’t a threat to Florida long term and they’re playing Tennessee. No brainer. It does suck seeing the quality of player they have assembled though. These are the types of transfers we need. Not a Kyle Lofton, no disrespect to him.
True much of the time, and much of the time those same coaches bomb out when they go up a level because ADs overvalue one season or two games in a tournament. Many of these runs are just statistical aberrations or fortunate chemistry that the coaches are smart enough to capitalize on for a better job and more money.
LOL. I love it!!! I can't believe it...better yet...yes I can. You know why? Never...never...EVER fill out your bracket with Tennessee going past the sweet sixteen. Dont do it. Ever...ever..ever. why? Because they never get past the sweet sixteen. I mean that. Ive always put them in the sweet sixteen and then have them going down and I could care less who they are playing. They've only been to the elite 8 one time and that was back in 2010. So...dont do it...they have never made a final four. Anyways good job Owls becsuse I could care less about the Vols especially after them Gator Chomping on our court a few years back after they beat us. I take pleasure in their misery personally (not as people of course but their team losing).

Aren't they the team we lost to earlier in the season that everyone was so upset ( yes, I get disappointed any time we lose) that we lost to and how it was a "bad loss"?
