96-93 on a corner 3 after in-bounding. Last timeout for Michigan State with 0:12.5 left.

Jubilance and disgust at the same time.

Key was 100% Gator through and through. If he had his choice, he would have stayed with UF.

And the cowards let Key and all of us down.....

I was getting roasted for saying we need to clear him. A lot of holier-than-thou posters were pouncing on me.

I can see both sides though. Not defending Florida here since I personally agree with your position but in these modern times if something had happened . . . Just thank goodness it didn't and he has played himself right into an NBA draft choice. He was a man among big kids out there tonight. Under-sized and would not be denied. He's only 6' 6" so what does he play in the NBA? 2? 3? He can certainly drain 3s.

What angers me is that he was cleared by others. I understand the liabilities, but if he is cleared by independent medical experts and he wants to play, who is UF to say no to him and his future?

Credit to him that he was able to overcome our cowardly administration and their paranoia.

I think someone posted on twitter the other day that we are no longer allowed to have nice things. I think in this case it was spot on.

UF is the only team that truly wouldn’t get the benefit of the doubt if something happened again.

Let’s just be happy for him.

They showed a graphic I didn't half watch but I think he now holds an NCAA Tournament record for assists with 42 . . . maybe it's through 3 games though. Hard to see how he won't continue breaking assist records though.

Some people just cant help but say I told you so even if it is two years later. Lol Yea Im sorry but I bash UF decisions a lot but knowing the information they had at the time, it was hard to clear him at that time imo. Now lets say if Key wanted to transfer BACK to UF, then Im sure he would more than likely be cleared. Of course that will never happen and he will be in the NBA but you are literally taking a serious risk when clearing someone after what was witnessed. There are to many examples out there when players were cleared only to collapse again. So imo it is better to lean on the side of caution. It doesn't mean afterwards if the person never does it again that your decision was wrong or even right. It just means you literally had to weigh the pros vs cons giving the information you had at the time to make the decision. As someone that works in health care I really dont see anything wrong with it knowing there could be a story book ending and being overwhelmed with joy if said storybook ending comes true.

I knew he was finding the right player at the right time, but 19 assists in a high stakes game against a team & coach who know a little something about playing defense…that was an outstanding performance. Add in that he tweaked his ankle early…that’s a lot of “ want-to” from a 5’8” PG.

I know some other SEC team fans that would want UF to advance. (they went to Auburn, FYI)

Well, that's different. UF are the good guys. Other SEC teams should always want to see the flagship SEC school advance. ;)

K State has one more hurdle to clear to make it to the final weekend. It would be great to have Keyontae's story told again leading up to the Final 4. Really glad for him that he is able to play basketball and at still a high level.

I respect both sides of the argument as to if UF should have cleared him. It really looked like he had died on the court against FSU. Honestly I don't fault UF for not clearing him no matter how many drs came forward and said it was ok. You don't want the .01% of something going wrong again actually happening. Go K State!
