Exactly, fans who have likely never put pads on a day in their life probably shouldn’t be telling football players anything.

Yeah there ain’t no way in hell you’re stopping somebody like Tebow or even Newton from running the ball in case they get hurt. I guess what you are attributing to the game plan or securing draft stock- I am attributing to an extremely lack of competitiveness. Other examples include joshing around and being pals with the FSU players as they are kicking your ass

    I agree with you.
First AR was a 3 star recruit when he verbally comit to UF. We all know how 3 stars are viewed in GC. Don't know why people expect him to stay when most of the time some fans want 3 stars to leave.

The main reason why I went to college is so I can make more money. Why would I expect AR to be different? He's going because he will make more money in the NFL. Good for him. I'm sensing some people feel like AR was the runaway bride that left them at the altar. I don't think he's doing that.

He's a Gator. But his main obligation is himself, then his family.

Tebow and Newton are two of the greatest college football players ever, if you expected a 3-star project player like Anthony Richardson to be on their level then again, you had unrealistic expectations. You’ll learn from this and be better next time, hopefully.

Unless Richardson knew Kitna was getting arrested on porn charges at the beginning of the year, he left us high and dry. He could have looked at the QB room and thought "maybe I could play one more game to help my brother have a chance..."

No one cares what everyone expected at the beginning of the year, its what happened after the last game of the year with zero experience for a QB2. He could have made a choice to help, but he choose not to. Pretty clear to most what that results in.

If he did come back which I wouldn’t advise him to do, he has a chance to be that guy. I don’t see it in him but it’s not out of the question. Nfl teams are banking on it.

It's not Anthony Richardson or any other player's job to fix roster mismanagement. Time to recruit better so you have ample bodies in case a player decides to watch illegal porn and get kicked off the team.

I dunno, Tebow and Newton were generational talents the likes of which the college game has rarely seen. Richardson is very talented but I'm not sure even one more year would've launched him to that status.

i think he’s being more outgoing with his love for UF because he said Napier has done him a solid and told him he can always come to any UF game he wants to and that never happened under the previous coaches

“In a recent appearance on the Pivot Podcast, Smith joined ESPN’s Ryan Clark and his co-hosts, former Florida Gators Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor, in a wide-ranging conversation. Notably, the first two minutes or so are dominated by Smith talking about how the University of Florida recently sent him a gift package that included four tickets to any home sporting event of his choice, among other things.”

Yeah, and I don't even see how that wasn't on the forefront of peoples' minds to be doing this or why it would be a challenge to get the UAA to do this with their tickets. How could you not want the camera panning over to Emmitt, Tebow, Wuerfel, Spurrier, Collinsworth during games whenever they are available? You can't buy better recruiting ads.

Back when Mullen was being considered for the UF job, some here pointed out that he wasn't a great recruiter and it was dismissed as MSU related and he would kill it here. Have to wonder where these articles were back then from prior players.

In retrospect Foley was right about Mullen.
