You mean you (not you specifically but supporters of Trump in general) weren't shouting "Lock Her Up" at the Republican National Convention and at various Trump MAGA rallies?

I would suggest that that they burn US currency as a way to demonstrate their dissatisfaction and I suspect that if Trump and certain high profile stars of the right-wing media told them to do so they probably would.

The extradition process is relatively perfunctory. The governor of the demanding state (NY) transmits the extradition demand packet to the governor of the asylum state (Florida). The law does allow the governor of the asylum state to look into the case, but that inquiry is essentially limited to two issues: 1: Is the person charged with a crime in the demanding state and 2: is the person sought to be extradited a fugitive from justice. The governor is prohibited by statute from looking into guilt or innocence. Neither of those 2 inquiries would take any significant time. You can be assured that the extradition demand packet will be reviewed by multiple attorneys to ensure it is properly prepared (certified copies of required documents and the like.) As to the second, it's hard to imagine there would be any question that our Trump is the Trump wanted in New York.

I was involved in dozens of extraditions, to and from Florida as a prosecutor, but I have no experience in a situation where the governor refused to issue a governor's warrant when the demand was in order...it never happened and I can't find anything setting time limits for that "investigation." In light of the limited nature of that investigation, however, I'm going to guess we're not talking a significant period before NY can seek relief in Federal court. The Federal government won't get involved, NY will sue.

Florida law requires the governor to assist with valid extradition requests.
941.02 Fugitives from justice; duty of Governor.—Subject to the provisions of this chapter, the provisions of the Constitution of the United States controlling, and any and all Acts of Congress enacted in pursuance thereof, it is the duty of the Governor of this state to have arrested and delivered up to the executive authority of any other state of the United States any person charged in that state with treason, felony, or other crime, who has fled from justice and is found in this state.

Florida Statutes Chapter 941 is our extradition chapter and substantially similar laws have been adopted by all 50 states, the Uniform Criminal Extradition Act.

I live in South Florida and travel for work all over (Missouri, Indiana, Georgia, NY, Colorado, Amongst other places). I travel throughout Florida (Tampa, Orlando, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Panama City). My brother (who is hard right), lives in Panama City, and he agrees with me re the discord.

I have no idea where you live in Florida, but given that the women prance around with vagina beanies in your town, I totally appreciate your stance.

Unless they pick a specific bank or two and happen to have a decent amount of money in them it won’t do squat. Especially with the lending facility in place for banks to borrow against right now. Other than temporarily help the price of gold and crypto.
But then when those come down from their artificially inflated prices they will lose on their little escapade. Just like always, then they will declare some form of victory, just like always.

The Governor already stated categorically that he would not interfere. I think that there is some sort of hearing before a judge, though, isn’t there?

941.10 Rights of accused person; application for writ of habeas corpus.—
    (1) No person arrested upon such warrant shall be delivered over to the agent whom the executive authority demanding the person shall have appointed to receive him or her unless the person shall first be taken forthwith before a judge of a court of record in this state, who shall inform the person of the demand made for his or her surrender and of the crime with which the person is charged, and that the person has the right to demand and procure legal counsel; and if the prisoner or his or her counsel shall state that he or she or they desire to test the legality of the arrest, the judge of such court of record shall fix a reasonable time to be allowed him or her within which to apply for a writ of habeas corpus. When such writ is applied for, notice thereof, and of the time and place of hearing thereon, shall be given to the state attorney for the county in which the arrest is made, and in which the accused is in custody, and to the said agent of the demanding state.
    (2) A warrant issued under s. 941.07 shall be presumed to be valid, and unless a court finds that the person in custody is not the same person named in the warrant, or that the person is not a fugitive from justice, or otherwise subject to extradition under s. 941.06, or that there is no criminal charge or criminal proceeding pending against the person in the demanding state, or that the documents are not on their face in order, the person named in the warrant shall be held in custody at all times and shall not be eligible for release on bail.

Well I have dark thought about trump that I internalize (except for the aforementioned smiting by frozen shit, being impaled on a golf club, swallowed by a sink hole drown in a septic tank, choke on a Big Mac etc) But all those require divine intervention and/or very good luck, and god doesn’t exist as far as I can see.

At the very least he shouldn’t be on AM radio. It’s Public indecency.

I take your point, but that genuinely wasn’t me, for the same reason I oppose this.

Also, Trump didn’t lock her up.

Pairing the lax disposition of New York law enforcement in general paired with all of the barriers to a successful conviction, it’s hard not to look at this as “find the man, and I’ll give you a crime.”

Yeah context can be important. But remember civilian/non-office holder Michael Cohen (a NY’r and not really important on his own) trump’s lawyer who was charged for his half of the crime. trump was named as an unindicted co-conspirator.
