This kinda sums it up… We don’t “got dudes”. The one we had, plays on! My connotation of “dudes” would be tough, physical, ultra competitive, clutch players. We need dudes.
I can attest to their having of dudes. Crazy season they’ve had after being picked last in the big12.
Well said. I guess so much of a season is a result of between-the-ears. And I guess the miracle coaches have a way of influencing that.
I agree and I know there's been a little back and forth in terms of should this team have been better and I agree that maybe they should have been a little better but when you're starting backward is Jones and Lowry that is not an above average SEC back court and not an NCAA tournament team to me.
Easier said than done. 2013-2014 had some dudes (Wilbekin, Yeguette) and developed some (Young, Prather), for instance. 2005-07: lots and lots of dudes, lol. CC definetly became one, imo. I think Kugel is definitely one. Richard can easily become one with a little more confidence. I actually think Haugh very much looks like one. Sounds like Condon could easily be one.
We’ve had our fair share of dudes. but you still need a leader of dudes. The ultimate dude is the head coach. but it’s always been about the jimmy’s and the joes
Sad watching Arkansas, K State, Miami and others compete so well. Our program being down has caused to not watch most of the tournament. Portal has to go really well for Golden. We gotta replace CC with Broome like talent or no tourney again.
Just got to make the right decisions in recruiting. K-State's best player( if it's not Johnson) is a 5-8 PG from Arkansas St.
A player needs a high basketball IQ and an understanding of how to fit into a role and play that role to the best of his ability. That's why an unflashy guy like Will Yeguette is so much better for a team than a flashy guy like Kowcie Reeves. The former was never going to amaze you but knew how to play the game. The latter seemed unwilling to learn.
Well said, can't think of a better example of the type of guy that is the cement that holds a team together, than Will Y.
