Seems like just yesterday MAGA nation was squealing and giggling in delight at these antics. Not so amusing now, is it?

big difference between an indictment and an impeachment, one is settled by the terms of the law and one is settled based on political affiliations. they have different names because they are different things. Any rational jury making decisions based on facts would have found dt guilty on both of the things he was impeached for. Unlike the Nixon congress, this one dismissed the law to maintain political power

Once again, you are incorrect. There is a Department of Justice memorandum written years ago that takes the position a sitting US president can't be indicted. Mueller referenced that in his report and testimony before Congress. There was plenty of evidence to indict Trump for obstruction of justice, but Mueller felt constrained by that memo and did not.

So, just what we need. Another taxpayer paid event that will Trump will walk away from unscathed. Pretty soon people are going to start thinking the election was stolen.

I don’t care about this but will enjoy him getting perp walked. Now if either the DOJ, NY AG, Georgia AG or Jean Corrol don’t get him illl have a melt down but I don’t see that happen and through out the process MAGAT’s will have a truly epic meltdown. He’ll be dead in 5 years and that will make things just great.

I suspect MAGA because I think Trump haters, like me, have come to expect he will find some way to skate legal issues and are resigned to it.

For the record I hope he’s not indicted let alone convicted. I don’t have a single doubt he’s guiltier than sin but the health of our country takes priority over serving justice in this case for me.

There will be no violence if he’s not convicted. Feel like it’s a pretty safe bet there would be if he is. So I’ll go with MAGA.

PS - nothing entertaining about this.

On this maybe not, the other stuff absolutely worth t, and if Jean Carroll has his DNA she’ll take hi for 10”s of millions. There’s always the chance a dark op kill team goes rogue. Of course I’m not advocating that, that would be terrible.

    For sure.

If the Republicans in Congress were like their predecessors in 1974 Trump would have been tried, convicted and removed from office. Unfortunately the Republican Congress of 2018 and especially Senate of 2019 weren't like their predecessors of 1974. One group of Republicans respected the rule of law in effect giving the sitting Republican president of either resigning or being removed from office. The more recent Republicans in Congress placed loyalty to their party and their Dear Leader with Orange complexion above the rule of law allowing him to remain in office. If Trump were reelected inflation probably would have been as bad as it was under Biden; Vladimir Putin would have paid a visit to Kyiv as a victorious conqueror and Volodymyr Zelensky would have ended up either dead, in exile or in a Russian penal colony.

Have him leave the country and THEN take his passport. Problem solved.

I am curious about one thing — and forgive me if this has been addressed upthread — but since Trump lives in Florida, what if he just does not return to New York? They can try to extradite, of course, but what does that look like? What one state can do for political purposes, another can ignore for political purposes. Imagine the drama there.

I was wondering the same thing. That would likely entail some kind of arrangement between Trump and Desantis.
