BG left LSU in 2011, he went to Illinois where he was awful as OC, he then hooked back up with Mullen in 2013.
Yes, that's right. Thanks for correcting. He wasn't anywhere near FL for recruiting the 2015 class of recruits.
Yep, you’re right that my post wasn’t super accurate. That’s what I get for copying and pasting info from an online sports article written by a supposed journalist lol
reportedly he did not make much effort to recruit him or had him rated lower than some of the slow ones we took in that recruiting cycle .
Unless I’m missing something, Chase was committed to Mac’s last class… until things fell apart. Chase decommitted mid season and BG wasn’t able to reel him back in when arrived mid December of that class. Don’t think you can put that on him.
This is accurate as far as my memory too because each time I'd see Burrow-to-Chase, I would wonder "what if" he had stuck with that verbal.
Spot on. A couple of notes. Receivers seem ( current and former) to love him. Reporters close to program making it seem like ( read quotes) even in his first few practices back Billy is much more active with his instruction. While he may not be the recruiter Colbert was I think he’s a better developer and overall coach. I don’t buy the stuff people say about Marshall or FAU. I think sometimes good people don’t get opportunities or breaks they’ve earned/deserved. Recruiting- I know there is concern here but I got to see something one time up close and personal with how Billy recruited. Let me just say I was very impressed. It was with a pretty big name receiver that wanted to be a Gator. What impressed me the most was Billy’s attention to detail with rules and compliance.
