Maybe you should survey the RuPaul Drag Race message boards before you comment next time, get a bigger sample ya know
OJ played football and killed some people, RuPaul has committed 0 murders. Case closed as to who you'd want to have your kids around, right?
That is completely missing the point. You’re asking me to receive input on wolves as to what’s in the best interest of sheep.
Where was this in the gun control threads? Also, if you think taking a kid to a football game is seriously bad for the kid, but you do it anyways, how exactly would you describe that?
C'mon, you seemed to think it was a big deal about why people might prefer a football game with their kids vs a drag show, and you based that on what people have told you on a football message board lol. Seems like the sample might be a bit skewed no?
The point is, if you personally wouldn’t take your kid to a drag show because you think it’s bad for the kid, but you WOULD take them to a football game, despite a genuine belief that they’re very similar, you are not putting the best interests of the child first. In fact, you’re putting your own entertainment ahead of the child’s health and well-being.
is that really your excuse? “Well, some other posters on another thread a couple of mi this ago …” no, you’re responsible for your own actions. I think it wouldn’t make any sense to take a kids to a football game or a drag show if you think it’s bad for them.
I’d never go to a drag show but I’m not going to judge those who do. But to your point I think your outrage is directed in the wrong direction. Why are you and others directing your outrage at the show rather than at the parents who took the minor children to the show? The venue clearly said that minors must be accompanied by an adult. That alone should tell a thinking person it might be something you wouldn’t want to expose their child to. It’s like the parents claiming to be upset over their high school son checking out a book they didn’t like, and then forcing their younger son to read it in front of a camera. It’s constant outrage and victimhood looking for a place to land.
Well, as usual it looks like you expect near sainthood from me, while looking the other way as posters stand on the graves of dead children to advocate in favor of gun control. That would be a case of you putting your own entertainment ahead of the best interest of the child.
nope, we are going to strap each and every one of them in their seats with their eyes taped wide open
Did people say they would not take their kid to a drag show because of that or because it wasn't their cup of tea, there is a difference you know, but apparently not to you. Anyways, I'm of the opinion that most people dont mind exposing their kid to "sexual" stuff or sexualizing them, as long as its the right kind, the things they dont even think about, the kind that doesnt make them uncomfortable, typically heteronormative stuff.
If I was a panty waisted mamby pamby who thinks a football game or drag show was going to scar my child, I would simply not take my child to either event. We don’t need the government to get involved here. Are there not any real conservatives left?
That’s really the crux of it. They think it’s bad for kids because it makes THEM uncomfortable, not the kids.
