As it's a drag queen show, the "prosthetic female genitalia" are fake boobs worn under clothing and "simulating masturbation" is probably the kind of crotch grabs you'll see at any pop concert or Super Bowl halftime show.
The Complaint alleges that there were both "prosthetic" breasts and "prosthetic" genitalia involved. Hard for me to tell from the pictures they filed what exactly was going on.

My $0.02. I suspect the right is lumping into the general category of drag show any performance where men dress as women or the reverse. If it's some guy dressed as a woman reading a story at a library or book store, that is innocuous. It is no more likely to traumatize a child than someone dressed up in a wicked witch costume reading a Halloween story and certain parents need to calm the hell down. No need to disclose anything. The next level would be like the one I got "dragged' into in Jacksonville after a Gator game. It was men dressed as fully clothed women in flamboyant costumes dancing and lip syncing to Broadway musical type songs. There was no exposed real or artificial genitalia. There was tipping in garter belts and the closest thing to sex was the tipper getting a kiss on the cheek (facial) as a thanks. While I would not take a child to see that type of performance, it wouldn't be because I was afraid of traumatizing them, but rather they would be bored to tears. No need to disclose anything. IF (giant if) there are performances where real or prosthetic genitalia (which does NOT include breasts in Florida) are being exposed or people are engaged in real or simulated sex acts, those performances are of a different nature. At the outset, I don't believe the reports of what's been happening in some of these places. I read the actual complaint that was linked in the OP and they need to produce actual photographs or videos. I've read far too many police reports where the writer has dialed the situation up almost beyond recognition to try to make a stronger case and I don't trust DeSantis' investigators. The linked complaint reads just like one of those police reports. It mentions "buttocks" without indicating it was the entire backside or merely butt cheeks. It complains of a bawdy version of "Rudolf, the Red Nosed Reindeer." That is way too much ado about nothing and likely protected speech. I simply don't trust the categorizations and conclusions of an investigative staff that was tasked with finding something to put into a complaint. One man's simulated masturbation sex act is another man's cupped hand shaken a few times in a gesture of defiance. Drag shows falling into this last category should disclose to parents what the performance will include so the parent can make an informed decision as to whether or not the performance is appropriate for their child. The movie industry has been doing that for years. The movie industry not only voluntarily rates movies, but frequently includes brief descriptions of the specifics behind the film's content and why it received a certain rating. I don't play video games, but I understand them to do something similar. This level of disclosure seems reasonable and not overly burdensome. If, however, there is actual sexual conduct going on, children don't belong there, period.
It seems to me that y'all are failing to distinguish between different forms of drag entertainment. There are some drag shows that are 18+ and in bars where children cannot attend because they are akin to a risque burlesque show. There are other drag shows that are meant to be more family friend and are either much less lewd or not lewd at all. Finally, there are other forms of drag entertainment (like Drag Queen Story Hour) that are appropriate for any age.
Disagree. Fighting and excessive drinking to the point of belligerence is illegal, just common at games. Drag shows are advertised as drag shows.

As defined by Florida law, female breasts are not genitalia. They are, however, considered to be sexual organs. FS 800.04(1)(C) “Female genitals” includes the labia minora, labia majora, clitoris, vulva, hymen, and vagina.
Man, y'all had me ready to dump on DeSantis, but then I delved deeper. I did not realize the Hyatt had been forewarned and the background: The impetus of the letter was a screenshot where tickets were being sold that read "all ages welcome." The department warned the Hyatt Regency Miami not to admit minors to the show, saying that the venue would face penalties and that its alcohol license could be revoked. According to the complaint, "A Drag Queen Christmas" updated its advertising to say that the show contained "adult content" and was recommended for people 18 and up, unless accompanied by an adult. If true, that's a pretty major update going from "all ages welcome" to "this show contains adult content and is recommended for adults only." We don't have to debate whether or not there were sexually provocative activity in the show. The show is telling us themselves it was recommended for 18 years or older. If the Hyatt had decent lawyers, they would have steered clear of this show. Many of you have been diverted off into conversations about cheerleaders, lol. Of course, DeSantis haters want to stop talking about what actually happened at the Hyatt. The bottom line is this drag show was at best very irresponsible in marketing their show as age appropriate for all, in the beginning. That should have been everyone's first red flag.
