I am sure he is waiting for the call. I am not sure his "audition" was good enough to be considered. We shall see.
He has a very modest upside. He's never going to be a good shooter even though he thinks he's a great shooter. No tears here.
Wish him success. Seems like he was a decent spot up shooter at one point, but no longer - for whatever reason. Maybe he can get that back and focus on defense. Besides a couple unimpeded drives to end last year and give us hope, he's never really found any rhythm or let the game come to him. Athletically gifted for sure, just never put it together here.
He was a decent spot-up shooter for about 3 games at the end of last season. He got us believing he'd turned the corner, but that brief stint proved to be the exception, not the norm. The rest of the time he's a 20% shooter.
I'm sure he will try to take a three from the portal on his way out, with 24 seconds left on the shot clock nonetheless.
He needs to go to a team whose nickname is related to hair. (Can't think of one off hand. Is there a team called the Hares?)
Niels Lane gone to portal, too. Now he had some excellent defensive potential. He could really guard. I hope he finds the right niche, which certainly was no longer at Florida.
Lane is a nice complementary piece to a team with shooters and scorers. Good luck to him, but we need more players that can put the ball in the basket.
I’m no Reeves apologist but man, sad that gator fans pile on a guy when he leaves the program (for whatever reasons). He chose Florida. It didn’t work out. I don’t see the need to then trash someone for not being successful as we hoped. I don’t recall news of him ever getting arrested or skipping classes or being negative to fans or the coaches or the school. I wish you luck Reeves at your next school, unless you ever play against UF.
