Now that the season is over . . . I just have not understood why these athletic kids weren't made to play high-pressure defense all the time, leading to almost instant offense when they did it for spurts in games the second half of the season. Play smaller (without JJ) and pressure everywhere on the court. Very frustrating, like saving timeouts. However, I defer to Coach Golden who knows more than me.

 

Have faith...things will get better..seen a lot worse in years before Kruger..remember "it's always darkest before dawn"...we are going through that dark period right now....but the dawn will happen...we will get better and improve...

 

We will start kicking A again starting August 31, 2023

 

I don't tend to do this, but I turned it off with 7 to play.

Frankly, the camera flip was nothing but fan service. And even that took a decade to get to even happen, despite it really not being a hard thing to do. It is a pretty good signal of how hard true systemic change is really going to be (it was a fairly obvious improvement that shouldn't have been hard for an appropriately responsive and flexible bureaucracy). But, at some point, we have to realize that college sports have changed in the last 15 years and stop pretending that we should be trying to compete like it is still 2008.

Unfortunately, I suspect that it is going to take a true groundswell of fans. And I suspect that is going to take things getting worse.

First football game..moving up and improving start there..seems when the football team struggled so did basketball...

 

I have never seen a Florida basketball team throw so many lazy passes to the other team. No awareness and CTG just keeps patting them on the butt, Not A Good Look! We need better players that want to compete. Riley being a freshman, I will let him off the hook, but he too was just throwing it away. Add all the off balance threes we chucked away, as a coach I would have bench Jones, Lofton, Fudge and Jitiboh for no hands, no rebounds, no points and no defense. Even Kowacie, no awareness of when to drive or shoot.

It is now official. First time in over 40 plus years both basketball and football teams both have loosing records in the same season.

 

Maybe not..but you see, the darkest I went through was 0-10-1 and the most harsh probation sanctions on football and then on basketball..any other older Gators that know what I am talking about? We almost got the death penalty

 

So does that mean it will be 40 yrs the next time it happens

 

Unless we are in on players that I don’t realize, things will get worse before they get better.

Came pretty close...cause Hall got caught paying his assistants and supposed child support for a player
Remember we got caught and stripped of our SEC title too..we were on probation SOS first year
We had "Captain Ahab" as our BB coach too

 

We will be worst year. Somebody tell me how we are going to get better. But it is better getting beat by 18 than lose by 1.
