"Sexually explicit" is pretty vague, that's why I was asking. Like that would get you the Tipper Gore sticker on a CD in 1990. "Deez Nuts" is sexually suggestive/explicit, but I just thought it was funny when I was in 9th grade.

I get it. Maybe live simulation of a sexual act in front of a minor could be our reasonable limit? The movies at least have a rating system that details some content.

Again that’s vague. A player doing a pelvic thrust after scoring is a ‘live simulation’ of a sex act. Blowing a kiss to his spouse also. I think you just want to pick and choose what’s appropriate, which is fine, but that’s an individual choice on what you bring your children to. People can also leave if its too much too. You cant make everyone conform to what you think is appropriate, and there are reasonable expectations in place at what you might see at a movie, sporting event, concert or any event, really. I don't think there is much if any bait and switch scenarios going on where things are advertised as family friendly but are actually live sex fests. Ultimately, why do you want to live in a country where everyone is constantly policing everyone else's kids and parenting?

When parental rights meet artistic expression, the limits need to be narrowly drawn. "Sexual content" is not a narrowly drawn limitation. Nudity is. And the drag shows DeSantis is targeting contain no nudity.

Your question is asking about personal taste. My question seeks to get at the real issue here, do people want to pass a law prohibiting something? I personally find churches that refuse to marry gay people distasteful. But I also recognize that freedom protects their right to do that, and my personal tastes have no business limiting their religious freedoms.

When I was around 11 years old, my mother took me to see an Austin Powers movie at a movie theater. It was had a lot of sexual content and allusions. Should she have been prosecuted for that? Should we ban minors from seeing Austin Powers movies?

How about Game of Thrones? Should minors be barred from watching Game of Thrones, regardless of whether they have parental permission?

My television was fortunate to survive that day. That and the swindle, and a few others I would rather not think about.

Lol. Got it. Let me ask you this. If someone did the jerk off gesture at your daughter, what would your response be? Why?

Then as we try and find solutions let me ask this. Should there have to be a disclaimer of some sort.

Movies today will say PG-13 (sexual content, crude language, violence etc). It will tell you why the rating was chosen.

Would you have a problem with "art" having such disclaimers if the art was mature in nature?

Ratings inform a parent. I am all for informing a parent. Pass a law to inform.

The courts, and they've already drawn that line.

Can the government do it? It sounds an awful lot like compelled speech to me. It would depend on the context and breadth of the requirement.

should DeS focus on these first before he worries about drag shows people pay to attend? which one is more damaging to children?

I would take my daughter by the hand and walk in the opposite direction. Would you run grab a police officer or something? Lol

The servers at the Wing House wear shorts that expose the bottom half of their butts. They serve alcohol although you will often see families there with young children.

Men dressed up as women singing Christmas songs. Holy crapola! That is horrible even though it’s probably gone on in this country for a few hundred years.

Why is a dude dressing scantily considered art and a female in the same clothes considered a stripper. If a hot female swinging on a pole isn’t permitted for kids then dudes
Doing the same thing should be a no go zone. For the record I have no problem with either, but neither should be done with kids around.
