Bucknell (from Lewisburg, Pennsylvania) comes into tonight's game with a 7-13 record. The only P5 team they've played is Iowa and they lost to them 3-0 this past Sunday. They had played a 5 game tournament in Madeira Beach, FL over the weekend where they went 2-3. Their team BA is .248 with only 5 HR and a .337 slugging %. They only have 2 players hitting over .300 - catcher Zoie Smith at .333 and OF Elena Horn at .302. They are fielding at .953 and have a staff ERA of 3.08. They have 6 pitchers, but primarily use 4 of them. Sophomore Madison Rourkey has started 8 games, 3 more in relief, with a 2.25 ERA and 4-3 record. Senior Olivia Marinelli is their power pitcher, with 5 starts and 4 relief appearances, 2.14 ERA, 3-1 record and 38 K's in 26.1 innings. They seem to have decent pitching, but are a weak hitting and fielding team.
Tune in early. I doubt this game makes it into sixth inning. I don't understand why we play so many weak teams.

Gators win 8-0 in 6 innings. Rylee Trlicek (3), Samantha Bender (2) and Olivia Gigante (1) combined on a 1-hitter, with Bender getting credit for the win. Trlicek, also, got a pinch hit single. Skylar Wallace went 2-3 with a HR and 2 RBI, Charla Echols went 2-4 with 2 RBI tp lead the Gators. A day of rest and then Missouri comes to town to take on the 20-4 Gators.
I was wondering that also and think maybe its a confidence building thing. Regardless of the opponent, you gotta get some swagger from stepping up and hitting a grand slam or pitching a no hitter. Granted not the swagger you'd get if the opponent were Oklahoma, but there has to be something from being given a job to do and then getting it done.
