LOL, wowwww. Tell me you don't know much about football, without telling me you don't know much about football. "Limitations" I hated the orbit motion this past year, for ONE reason, because we sucked at it. For whatever reason, it just didn't work well for us (psst.....here's a hint....that's usually the QB's fault). But when executed properly, it can be an EXTREMELY useful aid for the QB. Maybe you should do a little research and brush up on your X's and O's.
I completely agree. Another little fact that everyone keeps glossing over is his hesitance to run. I’m not sure if he was protecting himself for the draft or what. Another inexplicable AR habit. He showed his true colors as well when he didn’t play in the bowl. Didn’t perform well when pressured or against better teams. Didn’t lift up his team mates. It’s a long list of negatives. Everyone keeps making excuses. First year starter, new coach, didn’t have the best players around him… It’s all a bunch of crap. We lost to Vandy. Every single one of our players at every position was better yet we managed to lose. I’m glad he’s gone.
Bruh you really thought that was clever? Lol Mizzel and Wilson would've been Billy G's second and third highest receivers (including his entire tenure at MSU) and he had 3 more classes to work with here. He was a very good coach, but pretending he was a good recruiter is just foolish.
What are you talking about? I’m talking about Billy G. Maybe our best receiver coach ( only one I think that compares might be Dixon) that flat out develops kids. If you thjnk He’s not a recruiter I’d say let’s see how he does with Napier. Mullen wasn’t exactly into recruiting
I'm talking about you saying he can recruit when there's literally no evidence of that. Honestly I don't know how this is giving you trouble when the only part of your post about him I even quoted was "can recruit" and then explained how none of his players were highly rated or panned out (yet). He definitely coached up the receivers shark boy brought in, though.
Funny how Shane will throw the bacon my way (like he always does, because he loves to play contrarian) but won't even bother to refute anything I said; probably because he knows he doesn't have the football IQ to back up his claims. I don't mind differing opinions, in fact I welcome them, because that's what makes message boards fun. But when you make a silly comment and someone calls you on it? Let's hear the rebuttal! Hopefully he took the opportunity to educate himself, even if it's just a 10 minute google search. Knowledge is power. There's a good reason why Napier uses the orbit motion. Same reason why Andy Reid, Kyle Shanahan, Nick Sirianni, Chip Kelly, Lane Kiffin, Nick Saban, and a hundred other coaches use it. They sure has hell don't do it to purposely limit their offenses and "take a receiver out of the play" for no good reason. A little research goes a long way.
It's a very relieving motion when the defense reacts to where the motion man is and which defender moves with the motion or does NOT move. You can see if the defense is in Man Defense or Zone Defense... among other things.
Cost us the Vandy game. If BN is letting his players preen for the NFL draft instead of trying to win games, we will never win the SEC.
Yeah ok. Glad to leave because of fans words would imply that he will escape fan scrutiny elsewhere. Or maybe it doesn't but I'd be interested in hearing what you meant by it. Every fan base in every sport has their loser keyboard warriors that will go beyond constructive criticism. If fans have anything to do with a players decision making then they really aren't cut out for professional sports.
Wow.... None of these guys panned out?
