Orlovsky is awesome. Calls it like he sees it and one of the most knowledgeable out there.

Thanks. What some are missing is that this is not a qb friendly offense or not overly friendly. The orbit motion essentially takes a receiver away or out of the play every time. Take AR away and we win 3-4 games.

I can buy that to a degree, but AR showed himself inaccurate in routine throws that help take pressure off of the QB.

Regardless of how non qb friendly the offense was there were plenty of wide open receivers but they were unable to catch the ball with their ankle and of course you’re not allowed to have a cheerleader catch the misplaced pass for a first down. AR was all over the field with his passes even to open players…no amount of mansplaining can change that.

The pass vs FSU where he had the RB open to run about 30 yards (or more) and spiked it at his feet still haunts me lol

To be fair though, if he were in a qb friendly offense he probably hits him right in the hands....

    Doubt it.

Love AR as a person, seems like high integrity. However, really bad passer. AR probably could have been one helluva TE or even RB with his running skills and elusiveness. Hopefully he gets a good QB coach and a simplified passing system. I don't think many teams are going to run him much due to his injury history, and that takes away his biggest skill.

Oh my post was dripping with sarcasm. I'm a fan of the person AR is reported to be and hope he succeeds. I see the same deficiencies the people that share their rational objective takes here do. NFL defenses are renowned for their ability to scheme against a player or teams strengths. Look at what the steelers did to Miami and Tua in the 2nd half of their game last season after getting smoked in the first.

I'm not saying Napier’s offense enhances ARs skillset the way an offense tailored for him would be he missed taking what was there time and time again and that is irrespective of the offensive scheme.

Yeah, maybe if the offense was QB friendly AR wouldn't sail passes out the back of the end zone to end games.

Am I the only one that think ARs maturity and the way he handled bad series, bad plays, etc… is a huge factor. You could see him visibly “melt” on the sidelines when things went badly. Everyone in my family would just watch and as soon as you saw ARs posture change, as soon as he looked defeated.. it was over. If this continues into the NFL he will be a basket case before year one is out..

Nope. You are not alone. That has always been my biggest concern. You can coach mistakes, but you can’t coach attitude.

He played under two head coaches at Florida. Mullen who developed trask into a nfl quarterback who he never saw the field with(ok he started one game) and Napier. I am still open minded about Napier as a a coach. I think it’s probably on AR but I hope I am wrong.

We won a couple because of his play and lost a couple because of his play. We were just a bad team with an average qb. Look at the games we played last year and tell me who the better qb was in each game. I know AR has all that potential but what did he actually bring to each game?
