UCF-Florida in NIT

Beware the Ides of March….. (it’s also my wife’s birthday )

 

We are the 4seed. If we win we likely get Oregon, which is the #1 seed in the region.
Sidenote: This year the NIT finals will be in Vegas, not MSG.

 

Unreal we face these bozos in postseason play again when we're down. An easy fix would be NOT being down

 

Interestingly UNC said no thanks to the NIT. Understandable, but arrogant.

 

So is little ucf in basketball as bad as football? fake national titles and a massive sense of entitlement?

 

I wonder how many of their guys were gonna opt out, probably see that become a thing like it has in football.

 

They actually beat some better teams than we did. But we play at home.

 

Man, I hear you but I don’t think we’re in a position to talk sht toward them currently.

This game will be like most for us. Shoot well, we win. Shoot poorly, we lose. And that all begins with shot selection.
We need to be mentally ready, because UCF will be salivating at the chance to beat us.

 

I just saw the Vegas finals thing- I love going to Vegas. Same arena we played Kansas in (Orleans). I don’t have much confidence that we could make it that far but I’m gonna use some airline miles and reserve me a flight just in case!

 

The NIT is well beneath the snooty blue bloods. Roy must be seething..

USF beat UCF twice this season, at home and away. USF was a bad team. Surely the Mighty Gators can handle UCF.

I know it’s the NIT but if the Gators are playing I’m excited. I don’t care if they were playing rock, paper, scissors on the side of archer road against another school. I’d probably watch.
Obviously NIT wasn’t what we wanted, but you never know how many chances you’ll get to see them play. I look forward to any game football, basketball, baseball that I can see Florida compete.

Yeah, I think most of us had higher expectations for the season but it became obvious pretty early we weren't what we'd hoped. Right now, for me it's about finishing strong, getting better, and generating a little momentum for next season.

Still smarting from the bowl loss, need to whip the Knights in hoops!

 

UCF defeated Memphis once in three tries. I believe that is the only tourney team they beat. The Gators defeated Kennesaw St, Missouri, Miss St, and TN.

 

If we come out slow and Fudge is launching errant threes, well we could be in trouble. Do what you do best goes for the whole team!
