I know Nesbit is ur guy but I don't really see him as in competition with Purnell. Purnell seems more like a situational reliever while Nesbit looks more like midweek starter or longer relief. JMO.
You can see why they were thinking about him as the closer....4 outs all K's. In fact, I think every out he has registered this season is a K
Only starter that did not get on base was Evans. Glad he had a good day yesterday but he's been very inconsistent. Hartzog and Abner both got their ERAs down to 2.70. And in case you were following, Siena will be on their bus by 4 pm for the 20 hour ride home.
It seemed like I was always on the midnight shift in the fall on the Patrol and I had to re-work that extra hour before I could sign off at the “new” 7:00am….
At UF we get paid biweekly. A long time ago when I think Lombardi was President the fiscal year ended up with 27 paydays instead of 26. That can happen because the year is not exactly 52 weeks long. The geniuses in uppper administration (cough Betty Capaldi cough) said that we should just skip a paycheck that year. I bet she got a healthy bonus for that idea. This also included those of use that had external grants for the summer.
Good point, but I think if given the adequate opportunity and he shows consistency he will be a guy that we may need to rely on for an inning or two on the weekend
Didn't get to see much of the game as I was working on building seven new wooden window screens for my 100 year old house where every window was a built on site double hung window and they are all a little different in size. Next I need to build two screens that were missing. During breaks I did get to see Cags put a serious hurt on two baseballs. Talented lefty pitcher that can go yard. Short list.
Another thing I love about Cags is that he is not about launch angle. He can hit line drives over 400 feet and often homers to dead center. I seriously hope that he doesn't listen to any hitting coaches. He is doing just fine.
