I would actually agree that one of the reasons that he left was because his ratings were low. Fox viewers do not want to watch real journalists like Wallace, they prefer infotainment stars who deliver narratives that reinforce their preconceived conclusions. In fact, as was made obvious by the disclosures in the Dominion lawsuit, both Fox executives and its infotainment stars (Carlson, Hannity, Ingraham, etc) feared that they would lose viewers and that it would hurt the bottom line of the company if they told the truth.

 

Once again this comes to mind.
