I didn't realize how much Evans has been struggling. BA down to .270. Seems Shelnut is being given every opportunity to clamp down on the 3rd base job.
Halter has been getting on base better as of late. Still give Shelnut reps as insurance for this season and experience for the future. Also maybe Sully is thinkig platoon with righty/lefty batters and pinch hitting late in the game. Not a bad problem to have.
Shelnut is more about Halter hitting LHP better and Shelnut is better with RHP. Halter has something like a .257 average and is improving. I look for Halter to start Sat/Sun games if healthy. Until one of them rises up it might be a dual position for the season.
No big tarp yet, might be lightning in the area. If the big tarp comes out, I’m heading home and will do the game from there.
Radar looks like rain out near Newberry and will pass by here in the next hour. Hoping we get a 7 30 start. Is softball in a delay?
