Um, Pitino is pre-Calipari. You want a Cal?

I'd take the results Cal gets any day over what we have now.

Pitino gets you immediate credibility with McD guys. You won't have a talent shortage, like we have now, if he's our HC.

I hope and pray that Golden is able to close on some top kids. He has very little time to get this turned around so it has to happen soon. If he strikes out in this cycle and we have a year as bad or worse in 23-24, he'll follow Stricklin out the door.

I'm glad to hear I wasn't alone in initially wanting Pitino, Sr.

I followed him at Louisville since I had already started watching them and rooting for them when I was 10-11 with Denny Crum coming over from UCLA.

Pitino definitely brings a HOF presence and would indeed have a program like Florida back in the Sweet 18 and Elite 8 pretty fast.

Regardless, I'm happy having Coach Golden and think he will also get Florida back to the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 consistently. It might just take a little longer (or might not) plus he's a lot younger and we could have him for awhile.

I guess we're about to find out with Pitino going to either St. John's or Georgetown (or Notre Dame?).

Pitino is 70 years old and most 18 yr old recruits probably have no clue who he is. Hard pass.

After White's departure, that was my gut feel for what was needed. Of course, I knew that it wouldn't happen too.

UF's administration has become complacent and predictable in their hires for our 2 revenue sports.
