So the FBI now says the virus came from a lab leak

Especially, as it seems, the vaccinated.

 

Careful, if you say both sides do something around here, you will get a lecture about how one side does it less severely than the other side, and you can't compare apples to oranges.

 

It could have come from a lab leak. Those words circa 2020 would have brought down the wrath of this board and all the internet - accusations of racism, fear-mongering, right wing extremist, whatever. Now the FBI is saying it, and so is the Dept. of Energy. We are living in an Orwellian society, where truth is truth is transient, history is rewritten, and dissent is not permitted.

And before the liberals on the board jump down my throat, this is just as true for the Ron DeSantis form of culture warfare as it is for the above statement.

 

A bioweapon so deadly that it robbed Russian women of zero years of life and added a year of life to Russian men ...

Russia & the lab leak theory

 

Idk, I'd say the government colluding with media companies to silence and ridicule those who didn't think the lab leak theory is debunked is a pretty big deal.

Meanwhile they collude to shut down the economy, schools and social life of citizens which did not help stop the spread and while simultaneously forcing masks that don't work and unproven injections with unknown side effects that apparently didn't do much either.

Those seem like big deals to me.

Not to mention employing someone in a leadership position who colluded to silence anyone who caught on that he both funded the research behind the virus and profited from it's various snake oil treatments. I'm sure the covidians here will tell me this is a debunked conspiracy but I'm sure it will be proven right.

 

Lab leak theorists are Covidians too.

 

I just don’t think this is true. At least of this board. Seems like most here have always considered a lab leak a possibility. I think what most took exception to were the accusations that it was an intentional biological weapon.

 

Working hypothesis: the Uber Eats guy delivered, to the lab in Wuhan. Somebody forgot to close the back door and it leaked out, robbing Russian women of zero years of life and adding a year of life to Russian men.

 

You don't think this is true? How about I post just a few examples to prove you are wrong. Let me know if you want more. This is from those trusted bastions of non partisan news sources like NPR, NYT, Washington Post and the AP.

 

Again, part of that conspiracy theory involved the virus being “engineered” in a lab and intentionally released as a bio weapon. That’s dramatically different than an animal virus being studied in a laboratory that accidentally leaked.

None of these statements rule out the possibility of an accidental lab leak of an animal virus.

We have no idea what happened exactly because China has blocked any investigation so I wouldn't rule anything out. What I did point out is that anyone saying Lab Leak was shot down by the press immediately.

No I'm not. Find where a news organization in 2020 was actively reporting on the possibility of a lab leak being real. I showed where anything discussing the virus being from a lab leak being shot down immediately.

 

Damn it, when these news organizations print stuff, it's actually on record so folks can go back and read it.

 

It's like people just ignore what happened for years on this issue.
