Nesbitt and Abner pitched really well. Nesbitt was unhittable after the first inning. Best command I have ever seen from Abner.

And Cags was Cags.

 

Yup, I picked the Gorn as my signature Gator icon for this site because of my love and following of this program and the famous tv show.

Sully should really give opportunities this weekend to a few guys like Ursitti(a must), Abner, Hartzog, Slater, Ficarrotta, probably Purnell, and an inning or two to Fisher. Unfortunately I think any innings are going to be few and far between. Sully said Neely is recovering and inferred he probably needs to sit until at least Saturday.

 

Looked like pre-TJ Nesbitt. Back in 2020 before the season shut down he was off to a great start. Have to see what happens next time out but that was encouraging.

 

I don't envy him - he has a tough job. You have to keep your core group sharp heading into league play and also try to find other guys to help. Unfortunately there are only so many innings - and even less now with the run rule.
