Since Republicans only comprise approx 32% of the electorate, that's not quite the number you think it is. According to this Gallup poll, 61% of women are pro-choice. 'Pro-Choice' or 'Pro-Life' Demographic Table And yes, I know several Republican women that are very much pro-choice.
No apologies needed. We all post a lot of stuff here. It's just important because I think it sets me apart from many who agree with in other areas. Rape victims have health (mental and physical) challenges that make having the child a health risk and I believe should have the choice up until a certain point. I have long been very clear. My stance against abortion is only in cases where a woman choses to take the risk on pregnancy knowing all the risk factors and then uses abortion as an easy way out. I do not consider her a murderer regardless as many claim. I just think abortion has been so easy and so convenient, that we are creating human life with no regard for the consequences. THAT is where I fall. Rape, health of mother, painful non viability of the baby, are all areas that I feel deserve much more leeway.
I think so. But I'm a Pub registered voter so I could be wrong... maybe that changed. I think all states should have only Party affiliated voters vote in the primaries. This kills the chance for the opposite Party to dictate the other side's nominee.
Swampbabe is closer to being correct...49-46% of Republican women are pro-choice according to this poll. They looked at a lot of factors. A closer look at Republicans who favor legal abortion and Democrats who oppose it
None of that counters a single word that I said and I never asked you if you know pro choice republican women. So do I.
How dismissive and arrogant. Abortion is never an "easy way out" and is a decision best made by a woman and her doctor, not the government and certainly not you.
She is just trying to silence dissension. Millions of women feel the same as the men she is ridiculing. It angers her that every women doesnt think like her on the subject. Just like the pro-life group that had their sponsorship pulled at the womens march because dissension can not be tolerated by the group claiming tolerance.
What a bunch of garbage. It doesn't anger me at all that some women are pro-life. That is certainly their business. They have a CHOICE to do what is right for them. You want to take away that choice from others.
Compared to raising the child it is 100% viewed as the easy way out. How do you even type that with a straight face? If having/raising a child was the easy way out abortion would vanish from the planet. I mean you guys literally use that (pressure and stress of raising a child) as a part of your argument so why act so offended?
I think you are more misguided than utterly evil.... but I am open to the concept. ha ha. It's an emotional topic I suspect that got one over on him/her/they.
Now you’re speaking for all women? Sorry, but certainly large numbers of females use abortion as an easy way out.
My guess is that is a regular poster who doesnt have the balls to put his regular screen name on it. . We call those people cowards. (I know they are lurking.)
What????? You act as if you just uncovered some diabolical plot by the prolife movement that they were trying to hide. Did you not believe all along that any measures taken to outlaw abortions that reducing the numbers was not the part of the goal?? Wow!!!!
What a lame weaselly argument. Most of us are 'forced birthers' after the point of viability, which gives the woman more than enough time to make an informed decision. You are a forced birther from inception. Just own it without trying to say your view is somehow no different from ours (because 'we are all forced birthers'). You have an extreme view. Own it.
I think all/most states do require you to vote for the primary you are registered in. The issue is non-affiliated. In NC they can only chose one. A Dem cant vote in a Pub primary without switching.
