You apparently didnt read my post. And trust me... I am well aware of how the cycles work. I mean you guys really think youre that much smarter. Its bizarre. I also know that 1 in 3 isnt unaware after two weeks. That is also a medical fact.
Because the baby is viable then. There is a huge difference between a fetus at 8 weeks and a baby about to be born at 9 months. At 8 weeks an embryo is about 1.2 centimeters long and has a tail.
What did I say that was judgemental and where was I wrong scientifically? Stop just rehashing the same stupid response about men being dumb about women. THAT is what's ignorant.
Nah, you are the extremist on abortion. I'm a moderate on abortion, ok with banning it after around 16 weeks, giving the woman enough time to make an informed decision over her body and her life. You want to take that away from her.
Read the bolded language. "You don't think that by making illegal after a certain point that abortions will not be reduced? I don't know how it wouldn't!! Eureka!!!! Very profound. Among the big lies of the far right is that pro-choice advocates want women to be able to have an abortion as the baby is being born...or later. Post-natal abortions? I can't understand how those people think. 95% of the pro-choice advocates will acknowledge the validity of regulations during the third trimester absent a compelling medical issue. That is what Roe did. Actually read Roe v. Wade, not just some cringey anti-choice website's take on it, read the opinion. Roe implemented a balancing test. During the first trimester the woman's right to privacy outweighed any societal interest in interfering with her choice. During the final trimester (viability,) society's interest outweighed the woman's absent some compelling medical need...preserve the life of the mother. During the second trimester, some regulation was allowed. It was an eminently reasonable approach assuming you were dealing with reasonable people.
Okay, if you are going to make the claim, back it up. What percentage of women do not regularly have enough variance so as to make being 2 weeks late not weird? If you are going to claim things as medical facts, back it up. You are certainly acting like you don't realize that there is a substantial portion of women that have that sort of variation.
All these laws are for one purpose from Ron’s POV - bonafides for 2024. Nothing else matters to him, and hasn’t for a while. He used to really care about advancing higher Ed in the state, went to Gainesville when we made top 5 for a ceremony. Now UF could become Miss State and he wouldn’t care.
No, it's not. If the woman's cycle is not being regulated by birth control pills/hormones, she does not definitively know what day her period was late.
and some would say that life begins at conception. the overwhelming majority would be satisfied with 16 weeks
However, 14% to 25% of women have irregular menstrual cycles, meaning the cycles are shorter or longer than normal; What are menstrual irregularities?. Generally speaking, if you are 1-2 days late it is not usually anything to worry about. If it is 3 days late and this is not normal, you will probably start to worry. At 5 days late, you are probably convinced that you’re pregnant – it’s probably a good idea to do a pregnancy test at this stage. If you are 7 days late with no pregnancy symptoms, it still doesn’t necessarily mean that you are pregnant (it can, but it’s not always the case… take a test, another one). How late can a period be before you should start to worry?
Not to mention that cycles can be thrown off by a number of things. Stress and medications are the first two to come to mind.
